Absolutely stunning view from the balcony!The place was very clean, and the service was professional throughout our stay. The location is perfect — we’re definitely coming back! In the afternoon, the sunlight was quite strong in the room, which made it a bit hard on the eyes. It would be nice to have blinds or curtains to help with that.Other than that, we had a very pleasant and memorable stay.

Condo was very comfortable, with a wonderful view from the lanai. Easy walking distance to an absolutely beautiful beach, with everything else you may need or want close by. We enjoyed EL J222 so much, and definitely hope to return. What a wonderful place!

Great stay

We frequent Ka’anapali but it was first time at the Eldorado. The unit was fantastic and the area was quiet. For a spot that isn’t “beachfront” it exceeded expectations. We had a very enjoyable trip and there was nothing about the unit or property that came across as negative. Would have no problems staying here again.

Misleading response to last year's review.

We stayed at this property last year. We loved the view. The room was nicely updated. But, it did not have drapes, curtains or blinds. I left this note in my review last year, (many other reviews had this same complaint). The response to me and others was: "this has been addressed". As such, we rebooked this room this year, thinking it had been addressed. However, upon arrival, there are still no window coverings! Yes, there is a sun shade on the patio, but it provides no privacy to the room. When it is dark outside, and light on inside, you can see right in, we tested it. Even though it is vacation, there is no sleeping in, in the morning...as sun comes up at 6 am, so room is illuminated and very bright, as there are NO WINDOW COVERINGS. In the afternoon, the sun is setting in the west and the room becomes very hot, the a/c cannot keep up, because there are NO WINDOW COVERINGS. This is very strange as every other condo in this property has some type of window coverings. We also had a problem with check in this year. The front desk at Maui Eldorado had no idea we were going to be staying there. They had to call Maui Paradise Properties to straighten this out. When we got to the room, the t.v. was on, very strange. Likewise, the room did not seem as clean as last year. Dust on furniture, and removing our shoes upon walking in the door, our feet became dirty. Packing to leave, we looked under the bed and it is filthy with dust bunnies.

Home away from home

After a few nights staying at the one of the resorts, we opted to move a bit away from the dense tourist strip and El Dorado was perfect! It was close enough to the village, restaurants and beach but far enough to get a bit a peace. The rental had the necessities you needed between cooking and toiletries, as well as beach amenities. The community was great because we enjoyed the hot tub, lawn games, and gym. The property is so clean and well maintained. A great spot walking distance (or free shuttle) away from where you need to go to. We plan to come here next time we’re in town.

Wonderful property, Fantastic view

This is our 4th time to stay at the Maui Eldorado. However, this is our first time to rent directly from the owner and what a difference that made! This is by far the nicest room we have had with the best view. It was exactly as described. Our only criticism is the fact that there are no blinds or curtains. This is very strange, and I wonder the rationale? We knew this going in and didn't think it would bother us. There is a sun shade on the patio, but you can see right in the room at night. We made sure to change clothes in the bathroom, so no big deal if someone saw in. However, what we hadn't thought about was the fact that without blinds/drapes, the room got extremely hot in the evening and the poor a/c ran constantly trying to cool the place down. Also, there was a wedding set up on the golf course on the first Friday night of our stay. They had a huge tent with bright lights shining right in our room. Blinds/drapes would have blocked some of that light and muffled some of the inebriated chatter and toasts that arose through the evening. The biggest challenge with no blinds/drapes is that the sunrise was at 5:45 am. Even though we are west facing, the room still was very bright before 6 am! On vacation, it would be nice to sleep in....but, that is hard to do with such a brightly lit room with no blinds or drapes. I have pictures of the brightly lit room from the wedding party and at 5:45 am if the owner is interested.

Amazing Sunsets!!!

Quiet. Comfy beds. Beautiful view and sunset. Lovely complex. The staff is wonderful! Cabana on the beach is fabulous! Shopping and restaurants within walking distance are so fun! Stay here…you will not regret it!

Be aware of the golf cart driver !!!

Staff was polite but not friendly. The lady at check in was very nice. One of the golf cart transportation driver were Reckless and almost hit two girls on bike taking us back our room from the cabana. I asked him to slow down twice with no response. He took us through the parking garage at top speed. It was an awful experience. It’s just a matter of time before he cost your company a lot of money.

NO CURTAINS and large parties in front of the unit

ONLY rent this unit if you want to be disturbed by large parties that take place over days at the golf course in front of you. There was a function with over 500 on the golf course. The set-up and tear down went on for days. The lights from the party were so bright inside the room because there are no curtains. We had to leave the room the night of the function because there was a very loud country band which was super disturbing. I contacted the property managers and they did nothing. They wouldn’t respond, even after multiple attempts. Finally after I returned home I kept and sent several emails and I finally received a response that basically said - too bad - the pictures show there are no curtains and we have no control over what happens anywhere else outside of our unit. We have stayed at this resort for the past six years and this was a complete disappointment. I suggest renting a unit with owners who actually care about their guests not just the $$. We have booked another unit for next year two doors down that has curtains and pretty much the same view. It’s 1/3 less money. Don’t be fooled but their nice write up—they won’t support you if you have any issues. Thumbs down all the way. Oh and we were given two rolls of toilet paper for 11 days for two people - one more way to cheap out. Look around before you book.

Very comfortable

Very comfortable and quiet. Great views of golfers with ocean background. Unit was a bit larger than I’d expected. Walk to beach was a bit longer than I’d hoped but a nice walk once we learned to exit J building at the opposite end of the building.

2 Week Maui Vacation

Just (sadly) got back from a 2 week stay in Maui in unit J222 at the Maui Eldorado and I can't recommend the place highly enough! I have been coming to this place for the past 38 years (my whole life) and have stayed in many units and this place had one of the nicest views! It was also super well equipped with BBQ supplies, beach chairs, cooler, blender, cooking related items, all sorts of stuff! There really wasn't anything that we needed that wasn't provided. The management company was also very responsive to my questions and were always available if assistance was needed. Thank you for a wonderful stay, we will definitely be back!
