Beautiful!

I am impressed with how clean this is!! Very welcoming. Had everything we needed. The cabana was amazing and provided everything right there so we didn’t have to walk back to our room all day. Helpful desk staff. We got a great deal from the onsite concierge, so enjoyed a beautiful sunset dinner cruise. Couldn’t be happier!

Lovely lanai and location

We stayed at Maui Eldorado for the first time this year. This is my 3rd time in Ka’anapali. Reading the reviews prepared me for being right next to the parking garage. Luckily, it wasn’t noisy for us. The lanai was secluded and relaxing. It was raining and windy when we were there in January so sitting on the lanai was perfect. We were very happy with the condo for the price. We ended up here because it was in the location that we wanted and it was available. The resort doesn’t have a cafe or gift shop but the front office was very friendly and helpful. The cabana was very nice. We walked there most of the time. We love to walk, so if you don’t want to walk to the beach or get a golf cart ride, this location is not for you. The bed was comfortable and the place was clean. I really have no complaints and may stay here again. We walked to Whaler’s Village for happy hour and used the tram to get back. We walked to Duke’s for breakfast (about a mile) on the boardwalk. We booked a hot stone massage at Royal Lahaina that was amazing. I would recommend it.

Good accomodation in a great location

We were quite pleased with the accommodation at the Maui Eldorado with a few minor exceptions. On the plus side, the unit was clean and ready for our arrival, and the security staff were able to let us into the apartment when we arrived late in the evening. Registering the next day was easy and the "welcome briefing" by Kia, the concierge, was great. We've been to Maui several times previously but still learned about activities that we'd not done before and things to avoid too. Also on the plus side, the overall grounds were great and we made use of the cabana frequently, getting rides back to the unit when we were finished for the day. We took advantage of the "Mai Tai Thursdays" in the reception area both Thursdays that we were there. Kai was most helpful in booking activities for us, calling us when an opening came up for a sailing trip to Lanai. The kitchen area, while small, had all the appliances, pots, pans, etc., we needed to prepare and cook meals when we chose to eat in rather than out. We took advantage of the Kaanapali Trolley that runs throughout the Kaanapali Beach area to get to Whalers Village and hotels on the strip. We also went to the local "Fairway Shops" for supplies and the occasional meal. On the downside and as others have mentioned, the unit is quite close to the parkade so there was noise both late in the evening and early in the morning from honking cars and beeping carts. (Why do people need to press the lock button more than once when locking their cars?) The activities above the parkade (shuffleboard, pool, bocce ball), were sometimes noisy - being there on St. Patrick's Day didn't help - but were generally quiet given the quiet-time restrictions. We also found the king bed's mattress to be a little hard so my wife woke with backaches most mornings. Perhaps a replacement may be in order at some point. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the Maui Eldorado and would consider that location for a future trip.

When we checked in the room was occupied and filthy. We were given a temporary room. The property manager lives in California doesn’t have clue how to die her job. The unit was poorly stocked.

This was truly a way better place to stay than the resort and not just for the price difference, great location so close to Lahaina the pools were great the staff was great it was very clean, we booked all our activities through the front desk and they have us a ton of deals definitely will be coming back

We really enjoyed our stay here! It was clean, quiet, air conditioned, convieniently located.

Contrary to a previous reviewer’s comments, we found the unit to be perfectly clean. In addition, we really enjoyed the proximity of this development to really nice beaches. It was only a 5-7 minute walk for us to get to the Black Rock Beach, where there is good snorkeling and a nice sandy beach to lounge on. I am not providing the full 5 out of 5 rating only because of the unit’s proximity to the parking garage. There are other units in the development that would be further from the parking garage and possibly have a view of the golf course. So, if having a nice view is critical to your enjoyment in Maui, this spot may not be ideal. Thankfully we could not hear cars once we shut the lenai’s doors, but we did wake up to a car alarm going off one of the nights we were there. Again, not something that would prevent us from renting here again, just a factor to consider. Other great things about the unit: fully stocked kitchen, air conditioning, nice large clean bathroom/shower, in unit washer and drier. I would recommend this unit to family/friends.

Nice location, but VERY DIRTY

I liked how close the condo was to the beach and the wonderful walking trails along the beach. The resort itself is older, but reasonably kept up. The staff was fine. The first day we came back to the condo around 9 pm to find the door wide open with the door stop engaged. This was alarming as we had not been home all afternoon. No one was inside and nothing seemed to be missing. We called the office and they said they had not entered. We called the condo manager Linda and left a message which she returned the next day. The next day they ran a history search on the electronic key pad to see who had entered. It only showed entry the times we had entered. The only thing we could figure out is, although we believe we closed the door tightly, it did not latch and some wind came and opened the door. Anyway, it did not happen again, but it was a nerve racking beginning. Aside from that, the condo itself could use some updating, like new sheets (some were stained and torn) and mostly a VERY GOOD DEEP CLEANING. You could tell the floor had been swept and counters wiped down, but much of the condo was quite filthy like: dust caked on wicker table base, white fan in bathroom brown on controls and blades, alarm clock, top of AC control etc has a THICK layer of greasy dust, nightstands and drawers dusty, BIG dust bunnies on the walls etc. I know I could have called housecleaning, but I was in the condo most mornings while my husband was in conference and did not want the intrusion, extra dust kicked up, and the many hours it would have taken to get it clean. I did not let it ruin my wonderful time on Maui, but I would never rent this condo- or anything cleaned and maintained by this company- again.

Great vacation spot for a couple or small group

A friend and I came to run the marathon, and found this place to be perfect for our needs. We found the walk to the beach (although maybe long for some), to be a nice, not-too-long walk, and found the unit to be clean, and had all of the basics we needed. Decor is dated, but loved having use of a kitchen, and the extra space in the bathroom. We spent lots of time using the cabana and amenities by the beach, and loved that it was walking distance to our race start. Loved that there are shuttles available to the beach cabana, and to Whaler's village @ Ka'anapali. The mattress was a bit on the firm side for me, but the space seemed clean and well-maintained. Overall, it seems like a great value for the area and location. If I return to Maui, I'll be looking to stay here again.

property was exactly as represented -- check in and check out was efficient -

We really enjoyed the property -- very quiet and well furnished. We enjoyed coffee on the Lanai each morning - everything within a short walk - check in was great - we arrived at almost mid night and the security guard was at the entrance waiting for us -- easy -- just some ID and he showed us to parking and to our unit -- so nice as it was late. Property was clean and we were very comfortable - we would be happy to recommend this property to anyone

I was a bit disappointed in the fees fees fees, What is a check in fee anyway? it was a bit frustrating. The unit was sufficient, ac unit was a bit finicky but worked most of the time. They did have some great beach items for use which was fantastic. the unit was clean and functional.

Clean and well outfitted with everything we needed. Loved the Tommy Bahama beach chairs, I need to get one of these! New drainage being installed along parking structure outside back balcony, tractors were loud starting at 8am weekdays, but otherwise is a very quiet unit. Really nice bed linens, soft and fluffy.

Great Location, great place for an active vacation or quiet contemplation

I would definitely stay in J216 again. The suite is immaculately clean and has a good size lanai with a new electric barbeque. The well-equipped kitchen and large bathroom have had nice updates. The short walk which takes you to the beach and other hotel restaurants runs alongside the golf course and is quiet and scenic. The grounds are beautiful and the pools pristine. We had a great stay and can't wait to return! A special "Mahalo" to Mark, the concierge - Mark - you're the best! Also, if you don't have a car, give Michelle (cab #81) at Aina Lahaina Taxi a try - you'll be glad you did!

Lovely grounds

The room was nice but a little dated. The view in this room is basically of the parking garage. The building and grounds are very nice. We did feel that we should have been advised that the main pool nearest our condo was under construction during the entire week and that there would be a power outage for several hours during one day of our stay.

not a good experience with all the work on parking lot which about 20 feet from the lanai. cement dust in the air for all units around the parking garage. inside of unit was fine but just too close to garage. u have to deal with the onsite people day to day and they did nothing to address the dust situation claiming it was private ownership. will not return to maui el dorado going foward
