The Cove was the perfect rental for our family trip. Not only was the property beautiful and obviously well loved but the rental space was well cared for and stocked with everything we needed. The rooms were thoughtfully planned and the space was better than we even expected. Bernie was an excellent host, she made our visit feel private but was also extremely welcoming. It’s always hard renting a space when you are traveling far but this was a complete success. The Fritz Cove area was a short scenic ride from downtown Juneau, and way less touristy than some of the other areas we considered renting. Highly recommend this rental to anyone visiting Juneau. Thank you again, Bernie.

The "Cove" was an excellent place to stay in Juneau. Bernadine is a wonderful host who presented a well appointed house. It had everything we needed and more. Outdoor hot tub and shower were a real treat.What a great location but you need a car to get around town. Bernadine was easy to contact and very helpful.Highly recommended!

This was a perfect home away from home. Our family of 4, with 2 teenagers, loved staying here. With Fritz cove just steps away, my husband and son spent many hours fishing, and watching the bald eagles. This was a perfect location, away from all the cruise ships in Juneau, but not far from anything. The house has plenty of space, with some lovely touches provided by the owner… chocolates, nuts, spices and cooking basics… we did not need anything. We really enjoyed using the hot tub, with lovely views of the trees. I would absolutely stay here again, it’s a gem, and communication with the owner was spot on. She checked in with us regularly to make sure we had everything we needed, and was very responsive. It was just a perfect stay.

I don't think words can properly sum up how amazing "The Cove" is. Tastefully decorated and situated far enough from down but also close enough for a short drive to everything you need. Breath taking views and plenty of trails close to explore the beauty of Alaska. Our host Bernie has some essentials stocked for use and she had everything needed to prepare your own meals.The grill was easily accessible from the kitchen area and the hot tub came in handy after some hiking. There is even a hot outdoor shower.If I ever venture back to Juneau I will check the availability of The Cove before making any plans. It is a must stay when in Juneau

Paradise Home Away from Home

The cove is hands down the best place to stay in Juneau. Bernie has really thought of everything to make your stay absolutely perfect and it has everything you could ever think of needing to make your stay wonderful. You are surrounded by spectacular views and the area is peaceful and quiet. It was so nice to come back after a day of hiking and relax in the hot tub and then rinse down in the outdoor while surrounded by the rainforest. We hope to be back someday. Thank you Bernie for your impeccable hospitality. You are a wonderful host and it was a pleasure meeting you. We fell in love with your home.place

The best place we've stayed in a long time

The host and owner treated us so well during our visit. She even helped us out when we arrived too late to pick up our rental car. This place is fantastic and extremely clean. We had everything we needed and the kitchen was well stocked. Even had spices for cooking. The view over the cove was spectacular. I would highly recommend this cottage. ov cove

First Alaska Adventure

My husband, son and I planned a trip to Juneau for mid-August to visit our other son who was working as a pilot for Alaska Seaplanes this summer. We are from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and were hoping to find a place to stay that allowed us to see and do as much as possible in a short stay in Juneau and to allow us space to relax and catch up as a family. The Cove was perfect! From the beginning of the booking, and during our stay, our communications with Bernadine were prompt and friendly. We were fortunate to meet her and her husband and enjoyed hearing their tales of how they developed this property. The home was lovely, beautifully designed and decorated and comfortable. The kitchen was the best stocked I have ever seen in a VRBO property. We were within walking distance to the small cove nearby and the views from the deck were stunning. We enjoyed the hot tub very much with an outdoor shower! We were extremely lucky with sunshine for 5 days in a row, not common. But on the last day, even with misting, our time was well spent and comfortable. The distance to town, groceries and the airport was very close with our rental car. We did many tours and hikes with tour companies and on our own. Being from the UP, we love lush foliage, trees and cooler temps and lots of water. We felt right at home with Juneau and the glaciers and mountains made this trip even more special. We highly recommend the Cove and will plan on returning in the future.

Beautiful, well appointed property in a stunning landscape

We had everything we needed for a cozy, comfortable stay with easy accesss to great adventures. The hot tub was lovely after long days and we appreciated the robes and both the indoor and outdoor slippers. Communication was easy and the host was friendly. We look forward to staying again.

Incredible Charming

What a fantastic place to stay in Juneau. We had the best time and were in awe of this charming home. We could not have picked a better place to stay. This incredible Cove had everything! Great location and view, well stocked with anything you could possibly need, extremely clean and comfortable and fantastic owners who were equally as charming and wonderful! Beautiful

The house and area exceeded our expectations. We were only there for a short 3 days, but had an amazing time. The house was stocked with everything you would need. We loved how the spice cabinet even had a jar labeled"chocolate" with several chocolate candies inside. Lots of small, little touches that made this an ideal base for our adventures. We hope to be back!!

Ideal Stay in Juneau

We recently stayed at the "Cove" for 8 nights and have to say, it is an ideal place for adventure in Juneau. The location is perfectly situated with Juneau to the south, Auke Bay near by, and all the hiking trails to the north. The home was clean, well decorated with all the amenities you need for a family. The hot tub is an excellent treat at the end of a long day, and the best part is the private outdoor shower! The owners were very responsive and accommodating. We got a short tour when we arrived and when the warm days arrived, they provided camp chairs for us for a day at the "beach." We hope to go back soon...thank you for a wonderful stay!

Retirement Trip Paradise

My husband Ron and I started planning his retirement trip over a year ago. He always wanted to go to Alaska and after watching several you tube videos on different parts of Alaska, we zeroed in on Juneau! We knew that we didn’t want to be on a cruise and just have 8 or so hours in Juneau, so he started looking in VRBO and found THE COVE! Wow! What a great experience from start to finish. I connected with Bernadine right away and she was exceptionally wonderful to work with, even sending a package of things to do in Juneau and a map to our home in Florida, to help us plan our trip. Upon arriving, she greeted us and made sure we had everything that we needed. The home was clean and beautiful and there wasn’t anything that she didn’t think of, to make our stay at The Cove complete. We stayed 7 days and the location was far enough away from downtown Juneau but yet close enough to enjoy as well. We booked a whale watching tour with Jayleens Whale watching company upon Bernadine’s suggestion and it was amazing. The dock was near by as well. We also took a Seaplane Tour to Taku Is, which was spectacular! All in all, we told our family that we would definitely recommend them staying at The Cove, bar none! Thank you, Bernadine 😎

Zen Quiet and Beautiful

Lovely two story with a view. Private hot tub, calm color choices, stocked with every amenity, and delightful host. Nicest Vrbo rental yet in a spectacular landscape of mountains, ocean, eagles and whales. Wish we never had to leave! Thank you Bernadette!

Such a wonderful stay!

Everything about the stay here was amazing! The house was so clean and comfortable, Bernadine makes sure you have everything you might need like extra towels, cosy blankets, and a well stocked kitchen. Bernadine checked in to make sure we had everything we might need - she's a great host! We enjoyed looking out on the ocean from the kitchen table and appreciated the peace and quiet of this location. We came for work and when we come back we will stay here again!

The house was as advertised. Burnie (the host) is very sweet and nice lady. She was very quick to response and accommodated all my needs. She also picked us up at the airport when we stuck due to late arrival. I recommend this house.

Just PERFECTION!

The Cove is just perfection doesn't begin to describe the beautiful space that awaits you! Inside and out, this property made the perfect home base for our 5 days in Juneau - we were able to cook, have a fire (inside and out), and enjoy coffee and wine on the deck overlooking the bay. Bernie has though of everything for your stay!
