Great area, nice place. Only draw back was the washer went down, not being able to do laundry was a bit of a pain given how bad the weather was. But overall I'd rent again as I'm sure it'll be fixed in no time.

Best Place for some RnR

This was a wonderful, fully equipped property that had everything needed for a restful time away with family. We explored the area, enjoyed the northern lights show and slept so soundly on the very comfortable beds! Highly recommend and we hope to vome back again!

Annual Sister’s Getaway

Had a great time in Port Renfrew. Botanical Beach was epic. Saw a humpback whale! The cottage had everything we needed, space for the three of us to do yoga, well equipped kitchen, great view, and a short walk to the beach. Ice cream shop was also a 2 minute walk away!

Amazing Place to Stay

The property is very spacious, clean and well stocked. The home decor is very beautiful. It is very well situated near a beautiful marina. The place offered us a very quiet and enjoyable stay. Looking forward to returning to this lovely get away.

Port Renfrew retreat

We were hugely impressed by this property and location, the generosity of rooms and cozy areas, clean bathrooms and a well-equipped kitchen, and lots of comfortable space to sit with family and friends, indoor and outdoor. The view was stunning, the neighborhood quiet, and the place had all we needed and more! We'll definitely come back!!

Great stay in Port Renfrew!

We had a lovely 3 night stay in late August. Lovely property with a fantastic views. We were 2 families and the place comfortably slept all of us. We cooked at “home” the entire time and the kitchen was well equipped to do so. We bbq-ed every night and enjoyed the views while we did so. It was a good jumping off point for visiting the many beaches in the area and we saw so much wildlife!

Fantastic spacious getaway spot for the family!

The Newfie Retreat had everything we need for our family getaway. Kitchen was fully stocked, everything in working order. Very clean and well decorated. Just fantastic views from the deck - awesome spot for sundowners or your morning coffee. We will be back renting this place hands down! Thank you Martyn!

So much wildlife

I wouldn’t suggest coming in at night via lake cowichan. The road is terribly twisty and fog made it hard to see. Other than that it was an incredible stay. Would have been nice if there was a gift shop and maybe a hot tub. Loved watching the eagles on the trees outside the cabin and got to see a whale at botanical beach! Wear good hiking shoes for botanical beach though.only sharp rocks. Botany Bay is safer for younger kids but botanical beach had more to see in tide pools. Access to ocean is only at marina entrance short walk from cabin. You can also walk to the beach from there. Lots of driftwood for pictures

Great Place to Stay

The Newfie Retreat was the perfect getaway for our first ever family girls weekend trip. The place is very well stocked and clean. Beds were super comfy. Instructions to get to the cottage and enter was super easy. Martyn was super quick on responding to any questions leading up to and during our stay. Thank you for opening this little piece of paradise up for people to stay at.
