cabin under the stars

overall it was very nice. the place is run down but it has it's charm. we were surprised that there were no recycling bins. the other part was we didn't know there was a property connected to ours. was fine with the first tenants, not so much with the second ones who started cranking their music at 10:00 am. kinda ruined the vibe for being out in the desert enjoying nature. overall it's an amazing spot. it's probably seen better days, would benefit from someone renovating it with updates.

Sisters annual trip

We loved the location, close to town and the park. But far enough out that we could stargaze and enjoy the desert night. Very cute little cabin that had everything we needed. It was clean and well managed, the goat was communicative as needed.

Peaceful and Quiet

My fiancée and I stayed at the Cabin Under the Stars for 10 nights. The Cabin was awesome. Plenty of extras that we didn't expect. Hot Tub was lovely and well maintained. Also Cleaned every Tuesday. Very little light pollution, so if star gazing is your thing, you'll love it.. The AC kept us nice and cool in 40 plus degree temperatures.Beds were comfortable and linen was clean. My fiancée saw a mountain lion in the distance. Didn't see any snakes or spiders. But do bring bug spray for the flys. (No other bugs really) We will definitely be returning to Cabin Under the Stars on our next USA trip..

Cabin under the Stars

The cabin was OK but really turned off by how overgrown the yards were; the amount of "junk" laying around many parts of the yard and house, broken equipment (you can't replace the lamp shade in the living room basically hanging by threads?), the mattresses were like sleeping on rocks, holes in the walls in the bedroom, the kitchen cabinets looked like they were just thrown together and the drive up to the cabin hopefully didn't take out our suspension. Did enjoy the hot tub, star gazing at night, listening to the quiet and many animal noises (birds and coyotes) and the shower. I am sorry to give this kind of review but the cabin looked like it was pretty run down and needs alot of work. Mainly due to unpaved road unto the cabin, I would not stay here again. Thank you.

Serene Getaway

We absolutely loved this property! We had two people, but I'm sure it would be great for two couples or a family. We absolutely loved the character of the property, the location, and the hot tub under the stars. The heat worked well (it was freezing while we visited), and the cabin was well appointed with everything we needed. The cabin is also centrally located between 29 Palms and Joshua Tree, which was great for restaurant options. Overall, a great stay!

Wonderful eclectic home, off the beaten track, quiet and perfect for home away from home while hiking in Joshua Tree National Park. Restaurants and stores are just a few miles away, not difficult to reach.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 2-night stay in this clean, cozy bungalow. Great location for exploring Joshua Tree National Park and the surrounding area. Star gazing from the hot tub was a real treat! Will definitely come back when we're in the area again!

Tranquility in the desert

We wanted seclusion, peace, quiet and the stars. This property delivered it all. We have so much noise, hustle and traffic in our day to day, this place was the reset we needed. We loved the beauty of the desert as the light changed throughout the day, the visits from wildlife and the breathtaking view of the Milky Way. Thank you!

Great little place!!

Place was awesome - super cute and remote. AC was pretty loud but it worked very well which was key for us staying in the park in mid-July during a heatwave. So well set-up for guests to enjoy and close to a park entrance as well as the town. Reduce speed on road approaching home.

Cute Quirky Cabin in the Desert

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Cabin Under the Stars! Relaxing in the hammock in the desert breeze was awesome. It’s about 10-15 minutes from Joshua Tree National Park. We loved hiking the park, stopping at the Joshua Tree saloon for food, then soaking in the hot tub at the cabin. There is a house right next door with a pool, but it was a non-issue. Any noise coming from them was drowned out by the fountain on the property. Despite that, there plenty of privacy. This was a cute, artsy cabin and I would recommend it!

Worked well for our needs

We were camping/traveling with a recently adopted large dog and needed a place with a fenced garden that was close to Joshua Tree. The place worked well for us on both fronts. The outdoor sitting areas were pleasant and while it was hot when we were there opening all the windows/doors and using overhead fans worked fine.There were air conditioners available but we didn't use them. There were people at the other house on the compound but they were super quiet. If they were having a pool party we definitely would have heard them. The place has a cute/funky vibe and was clean but it could use a little TLC. Kitchen is outfitted for really basic cooking (we ended up using a lot of our camping kit) and it would have been nice if there was more than one champagne glass since we were celebrating a birthday.
