"This was a lovely place to stay for a wedding related trip to Rogersville. It is conveniently located and has wonderful, historic charm. Our room “The Browns” was clean and very comfortable. The check in and check out procedure was easy and the Desk Clerk was very kind and accommodating. I highly recommend a stay here!"

I must have looked at a different place to stay and accepted this one by mistake. Expedia had us wanting a smoking room?
The room was clean but had a strange smell. It has only a space heater for heat. It is supposed to drop in the teens tonight. There is a unit in it that is supposed to be a heat/air conditioner that does not heat. Was charged $150.00 deposit incase we smoked in the room or for incidentals. Which we had no idea about! "Another perfect stay in Melody's loft ! We highly recommend anyone stay here when in the Harlan area. It is quiet, absolutely spotless,with possibly the most comfortable bed we have ever slept on. Very close to restaurants and stores yet with that wonderful quiet country feel with a few deer running around. Thoughtfully stocked with bathroom items in case you forget something and some snacks and coffee and tea. Thanks again for a great weekend!!"
