"Three Trails is ideally located in downtown Elkin. It, however, is located next to an active railroad line and trains do sound their horns early in the mornings and sometimes at night. Three Trails is also on the corner of the main street junction of the city. Therefore, there is street noise. Three Trails would be much improved, and more comfortable for guests, if sound proofing glass is installed in the windows. "My husband and I stayed here for a quick weekend away to go hike at Stone Mountain with our pups. It was a cute little place with all the necessary things-- a pre-hike coffee maker, a nice warm shower (with amenities provided!) after, and convenience to downtown for some yummy food to end the day. The AC are in-window units, which may make a difference to some, but for a warmer weekend (during the day it got up to mid-80s) they crushed it and kept us cool at night. Perfect for a quick trip!"

"Had a great time! My only concern was checking in and our code was incorrect. There was a nice man there that took care of us, but I wasn't sure at the beginning if he really worked there. I wonder if name tags for employees would be a good thing. That said, the entire staff was very professional and courteous."
