It is a very nice place. Quiet and secluded. Very clean and nicely designed and furnished. The rooms are spacious. Kitchen was stocked w utensils, plates, etc. We loved the screened in porch. The hot tub was very refreshing and spacious. Enjoyed the fire pit at night. (Watch for bugs though)For directions; Make sure u look for the signs to the cabin. DoorDash and Instacart worked for fast food and grocery delivery, but the road to the cabin is without light at night. Overall a great relaxing location to unwind and meditate.

I jave stayed in probably 30 cabins in the last 15 years abd this one was by far the cleanest. The attention to detail is immaculate. The nature in the area is pefect. Only a 10-15 minute drive to trail of tears state park which i would highly recommend. Saw owls, hawks, and even a bald eagle. Will definitely return!

Docs Cabin is a wonderful place to wind down, relax and escape the rat race . You cannot find a place with a better host, meticulously maintained, all the accommodations of home and much more with the hot tub, outdoor enclosed deck, and last but not least, a dock where you can sit and fish.

This cabin is an absolute gem. It is immaculate, cozy and has everything you need for a weekend getaway. We received detailed communication prior to our visit and appreciated Tanya checking on us while we were there even though there was nothing more we could have wanted or needed. Highly recommended this property and host. You will not be disappointed!

The cabin was in excellent shape, very clean (I’m a clean freak and it was up to my standards!) and well furnished. It was nice to have a well stocked kitchen as we bring most all of our own food on trips. The weather was perfect when we were down there and we enjoyed time out on screened in porch, dock on the lake and the hot tub.

Our host was very welcoming and the cabin was beautiful and comfortable! The rainy weather didn’t allow for much outdoor time but we enjoyed the beautiful view from the screened in porch while we sipped our coffee in the mornings.

The cabin was amazing. Even though it rained some, it was perfect to sit out on the porch and watch/listen to the rain, nature, and the peace. Just an overall great location! We also got in a couple of good hikes not far from the cabin. Would 100% suggest to others, and we already have.

Perfect! That is the best way to describe our stay. We celebrated our 25th anniversary with a stay at Doc’s Lakeside Cabin. We only need two things for a get away to be enjoyable. 1. Clean accommodations. 2. Peaceful quiet solitude. Doc’s cabin did not disappoint. The cabin was immaculately clean to a level we’ve not experienced in a rental. The serenity of the screened-in deck in the morning with the sounds of nature cannot be described. What a great way for us to celebrate our life together and restore our souls and unwind from the craziness of everyday life. We will be back.
