Perfect family getaway with stunning views

Our family had a wonderful stay at this VRBO. The location was perfect and the views were unforgettable — we enjoyed them every day. The place was comfortable and suited our needs perfectly. Highly recommend and we’d love to come back!

Spacious and Bright

I stayed here with a group of two and also a group of seven, and it is great for both. The views from the spacious living room are spectacular, especially the morning sunrise in the East.

Relaxing retreat

This house is in a great location, close to restaurants, etc., but up & away from traffic. It was a great jump off point for our exploration. Comfortable beds, well appointed kitchen, beautiful view from the deck. Very relaxing space.

We felt so comfortable in this beautiful home! Every little thing has been considered and supplied .... from luggage racks (often missing) to USB chargers bedside. There is nothing rental or part-time about the furnishings, appliances, cookware or other amenities. A very, quiet and private location ... we saw one car (at a distance) and a whole family of deer all week. And the view!!! Amazing!

Family Get Together

The view of John Day and the valley is beautiful. The yard and porches were well kept and we all had a great time playing horse shoes and hanging outside. The house is well stocked don’t over shop like I did! We would stay here again. Five stars!

Spring Break/ birthday

It was absolutely beautiful. The view in the morning sitting outside drinking my coffee was priceless. The was so much to see around John Day. The people were very pleasant in town. We loved the neighbor hood deer. Jim is a very nice man to talk to and very helpful. The house was clean and stocked with almost everything you would need. I would love to stay there again.

Annual Cousin Get Together

This was our second time renting this home. The house is great for large groups and the open floor plan is great for visiting, playing games, and shared meals. The property is beautiful and the views gorgeous. The owner is great he even came out to handle a wasp problem for us. Looking forward to next year!

Wedding trip

House was perfect for our family. Plenty of dishes/utensils (awesome). The A/C was struggling when we arrived but we noticed the “change filter” warning and we were able to find the replacement filters and changed it out (note: whomever changed it out last forgot to remove the plastic!).

Fantastic property - stay here

This property is amazing - Jim has everything you could possibly need, it's very well kept up and attractive inside and out. Lots and lots of great places to go hiking nearby, and even just hanging out on the property was fun. Tons of space inside, nice deck with tables and chairs for lots of people. Really nice view of John Day and the mountains. I just loved my time there and didn't want to leave.
