Rustic vibe in 60s house by Roskilde Fjord

Near Kulhuse, at the top of the lovely Hornsherred, you'll find this lovely, original Jespersen cottage built in the early 1960s. There's room for the couple or the small family, and in the cozy and simple kitchen, the retro coffee pot is ready to make you a large pot of coffee as soon as you arrive.



Inside, it's pure nostalgia. The original atmosphere is well preserved, even though the house has been continuously renovated. The decor is kept in a rustic style with old wooden and iron tables and wicker and industrial lamps mixed with soft skins on the bench and chairs. Throughout the house, books, magazines, games and old movies invite you to cozy up, while mixed glassware and tableware in different styles create a relaxing, homely atmosphere. Spend a quiet moment in the reading corner on the sofa by the bookshelf or enjoy the view of the water from the rocking chair.



Open the French doors and step out onto the beautiful wooden terrace with morning sun and peaceful views of the fjord. The garden is surrounded by tranquil birch trees and fine Mirabelle trees, which are in full bloom in spring. Outside, you'll also find the house bathroom in the form of a beautiful, enclosed shower cabin from Sølund Huse. Enjoy the evening sun in the lounge furniture on the covered terrace and fill up the fridge with soft drinks and ice cream while the kids play on the swings. If you want to experience the beautiful Hornsherred, you can take a trip to Jægerspris, visit the castle and eat ice cream at the old ice cream parlors.
