"For our second week in Costa Rica, we chose this home in Atenas. The photos do not do it justice- it is such a wonderful and relaxing retreat. The private pool and outdoor shower allowed a connection no nature. Hammock and hanging chairs, lush landscaping, toucans…. Just too much to mention. We will return to this special place. Lizz did massages on the breezeway our last day to the sound of rain and the birds. Communication was excellent."

I was injured just prior to our arrival, and appreciate that the host allowed a care-giver and his wife to stay with my wife and me to assist me to walk and carry things. "The house was great, it was big enough to accommodate 4 adults and 4 kids ranging from 7 to 12. There is air conditioning in the bedrooms but not in the main house which at times could be very warm. There is two big floor fans but still can be warm. The beach is nice but if you’re looking for a nice smooth sandy beach this is not your location. We saw a lot of crabs which the kids loved. They swam in the ocean, there is NO crocodiles in this location. If you don’t want to travel to far for...
