Prior to checking in I called to advise that we may be checking in a bit later in the day so I can confirm what their procedure was. During the conversation I was asked who is staying there and I replied two adults and 2 children. I was told each child would be an extra $15 a night which I disputed as there was a queen sized bed and 4 bunk beds in the 2 bedroom unit and Expedia does not advise of this charge and we are not over the maximum amount of guests. After a formal complaint with them they dropped the fee. To add a further sour taste in our mouth there was signage in the unit and also messages sent they we were expected to strip all the bedding and towels and ensure all washing up is done, take all our rubbish out to the front of the complex or we would be charged a $100 cleaning fee. Whilst I'm okay with washing up a few plates etc. I believe it's completely unreasonable to expect guests when they are on holidays to strip all their own bedding etc. and its either lasiness or cost cutting in my opinion by the holiday park to expect the guests to do this. Further the hot water was patchy where is would be extremely hot to nearly burn or too cold and not constant. The unit was also average in cleanliness and the window tracks not clean, curtains stained and lounges average. I find their pricing very expensive if you basically have to do some of their cleaning for them and unless the staff attitude changes with their unreasonable demands we won't be staying their again.
