Set in the village of Zavala on Hvar’s south coast, Villa Amarant is a carefully restored five-bedroom property designed for up to ten guests. With direct access to the Adriatic and uninterrupted sea views, it offers a private setting suited to groups seeking both style and space.

The interiors balance original architectural features with contemporary design. Exposed stone, vaulted ceilings and natural materials are paired with modern furnishings and a considered, neutral palette. The main living areas include a relaxed lounge with a wood-burning stove, a dedicated workspace, and a well-equipped kitchen and dining area designed for social cooking and gathering.

Each of the five bedrooms has its own bathroom, with three king-size rooms and two twins. The standout master suite includes a mezzanine lounge and a spacious bathroom with a freestanding bath and walk-in shower.

Outside, the villa is arranged for easy outdoor living. A heated pool sits alongside sun loungers and shaded seating, while the dining terrace and grill area are ideal for long meals. The surrounding garden and terraces provide multiple spots to unwind, all with views across the sea.

Location:

Zavala sits on Hvar’s south coast, offering a quieter base within easy reach of Hvar Town. The village is small and traditional, with stone houses lining narrow streets and a handful of local restaurants serving regional dishes and wines. Views stretch across the Adriatic towards the islands of Šćedro and Korčula, with vineyards and olive groves shaping the surrounding landscape.

A short drive north leads to Jelsa, a lively harbour town with a wider choice of shops, beaches and dining spots. Nearby coves such as Vitarnja are well-suited to families, while Mlini Beach, closer to Zavala, is known for its clear water and pine-fringed setting.

For day trips, Hvar Town offers historic landmarks alongside a busy waterfront, while Stari Grad provides a slower pace with its long history and waterfront promenade. Across the island, walking and cycling routes pass through lavender fields, small villages and coastal viewpoints, giving a broader sense of Hvar’s varied character.

Saturday

Standard changeover clean included in the price. Guests are required to leave the accommodation clean, tidy and in the same condition as on their arrival. Any extra cleaning, laundry, maintenance and/or rubbish disposal required will be charged against the security deposit.

For those who require pool heating, there will be an additional charge of €25 (to be paid locally on arrival). Please note that like all heated pools, pool heating and water temperature are reliant on weather and outside temperatures.
