Overall a nice place and no issues. A few things need attention; like the old rusted/broken chair on the patio and junk piled in the corner. Realty company was quick to bring a spatula and tongs that were MIA. Beach set up was left for us on time and was a big bonus. Nice pool with good sun shade covering part of it ! Nice short walk to Driftwood Beach. Overall a nice stay if you are a Jekyll Beach goer.

Special treat to sit and see ocean before bed and awaken to.Villa clean and channels of many stations to pick from without needing your own device.Liked the extra space and privacy of upstairs bedrooms and bathroom. Stairs are high and many to climb.A concern and extra effort if you are a senior.But well worth it.Stair treads on staircase on steps would be appreciated for safety.Otherwise overall villa very home like.

Close to driftwood beach

Excellent location for us. Condo was all we needed for our time. Condo could use some paint and a bit of refreshing, otherwise good.

Beautiful Island

We enjoyed the Island and this condo was very clean and we had a nice view of boats and sea birds in the water even saw many dolphins pass by behind the shrimp boat while standing in the kitchen making lunch. What a treat.

Enjoyed!

The property was very clean and comfortable. Love that you can walk to Driftwood beach and Driftwood Bistro. Unfortunately, the refrigerator ceased to work the day we arrived, but the property managers took care of it right away. Replaced the old with a new one. I would definitely return to this property again. I just hope next time we don't have to cut our stay short because of another hurricane like Ian!!!

Beautiful island, dirty condo

The condition of the rental property was hugely disappointing. We have stayed in numerous places but this is the first time that we had to clean a rental property upon arrival because it was dirty. We attempted to call the rental property management and never received a call back we ended up having to go into their main office to speak to someone. Jekyll Island was beautiful and wonderfully relaxing in, but I would not recommend renting a property from Jekyll Realty.

Disappointed at first

Upon arrival we were given a cracked key card that would not open the door, so someone from maintenance had to come open the door for us. After unloading luggage and further inspection, we found dust an inch think on the bathroom vent fan, Sheetrock pulling a loose from the wall, mildew around the ac vents in a few rooms, food and trash left on the bedroom floor & that even at low tide you could not sit on the beach in front of the unit! This unit needs to be deep cleaned & updated!! We had to stay 2 nights because the rental company was closed on Sundays. Once Monday morning came I went down to the rental office and they were kind enough to move us to a much nicer place.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The condo was not clean! The sheets on the beds were dirty,and hair was found all over the bed. It is very outdated. Needs a new paint job for sure. Location was great, and the air conditioning worked great!

Our stay at villa 159

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a wonderful time during our stay, the villas are great, very clean, cozy little spot. It was decorated nicely, there were even several board games and books. The pool is great, the restaurant has amazing food, staff friendly and helpful. Amazing views, walking distance to driftwood beach, most of the coast where the villas are, is all rocks so you have beach access at low tide right in front of your room, at high tide you have to drive down to one of the public beaches if you wanna go catch some waves. The bathroom is upstairs also so those are the only two negatives, we did a Walmart pick up in Brunswick on arrival and ate dinner several nights at the restaurant on site because the food was so good, so for the first couple days I never even left the property. All in all it was a great experience and I’m glad we chose there to stay, can’t wait to visit again soon!

My wife and I stayed for 11 nights here. Such a wonderful place to stay and a great beach to enjoy. I wish the pier near the villa was able to get to the water, but it isn't a very long walk to one that does.

Oceanfront vacation

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The rental stay was nice and homey. The beds were soft and very relaxing even when we should’ve been on the beach instead of relaxing. The furniture was cozy and plenty of channels to surf on rainy afternoons. Very close to the beautiful Driftwood Beach. The only problems we had with the stay were security and the beach access. We were hoping for a quick access to the beach vacation with our daughter, who is in a wheelchair and did not get it. The closest pier to cross the rocks at the edge of the beach was dilapidated and not under repair. To visit the beach as a family we had to drive 2 miles for wheelchair access. Due to the rocks positioned so close to the waters edge, the access to the beach without the wheelchair from the rental was only available for about 3 to 4 hours a day depending on the tide. As for the security issue, we came across, the trim around the door popped off on two different occasions. This trim was also holding the safety locking mechanism, which came off with the trim (latch similar to what you see in hotels). In order to stay secure, you had to lock the deadbolt behind you as you entered, or exited the property.

The weather was great for the months we were in Jekell Island, except for those constant bugs that made it hard to visit the beach area or sit outside for long periods of time. We hopefully can return next year in February.
