The house is large and the rooms spacious. It’s a bit dated in some ways (original 1968 1.75 bathrooms, no stopper in the tub—bring your own!), but it has a lovely Jekyll room (lanai) and a very well stocked kitchen including both a Keurig and a drip coffee maker, a coffee grinder, and filters for drip maker. Wish we had known ahead of time!
Also there is a full size charcoal grill—just needs charcoal. The realty company told me in advance that there was no grill, so we spent $$ on a portable grill needlessly. The garage has seats you can take to the beach and boogie boards, but no bicycles.
TVs are great with a million stations (Xfinity). Kitchen appliances include fridge with ice maker and filtered water, full size microwave, and electric stove. However, the washer and dryer are kept in a room behind the garage and the old dryer is rusty on top. Both work okay, but bring laundry pods and some kind of softener.
My back hated the old style thin king mattress, so I moved to the thick pillow top queen which was comfortable for me. Your experience may be different!
Jekyll Realty noted the few minor issues we found but none needed immediate attention. They give you a roll of toilet paper, a roll of paper towels, and a small bottle of dishwashing liquid at check-in to get you started, which was nice. All of the office employees were very pleasant.
The neighborhood is great. It’s all single family or duplex homes, almost all ranch style. Lots of people walk or bike. It’s very safe.
Last but not least, this house is on the trail the deer visit every day. Mostly they gather in the back yard in groups of 6-15. They are used to people and will let you get close. I was told they will eat out of your hand but we didn’t have any greens to offer them. They eat the tough grass as well as leaves from shrubs and fallen tree branches. There was a fawn in the group as well as a juvenile buck just starting to show his antler buds (he was munching a bush just outside the living room window and I was inside, less than a foot away). We loved the deer so much!
