Looks like they're trying. Staff was very nice and we were in an updated room but there was dirt build up in floors from construction? Just gave the feeling of not being clean.

The hotel and staff were good. The room was clean but smelled musty and old. There is plenty of space in the room, but the furnishings and fixtures are showing their age. The accommodations were fine for me as a solo traveler on a short two-night stay, but my wife would not have wanted to stay there. Worth the cost for a short stay on a low budget.

Now this is not a 5 star hotel by any means, but if you need a safe, quiet, no bug hotel, this is the place. The beds are nice, clean and soft. They have friendly staff and clean bathroom and towels. Rooms are nice and clean. Everyone that we came in contact with was very professional and friendly.

Super friendly and a really nice place to stay. But that was the smallest and worst beds I have ever slept in!!!!!

Let down
I want to start with the postives- the staff here is awesome! From check in to the GM and housekeeping, other hotels could learn from them. Very polite, professional and attentive. I want to point out housekeeping most of all! They do a phenomenal job at keeping the rooms as clean as they do all things considered. Unfortunately this review will not be as good as my last. I stayed here for business because of the room i previously stayed in was amazing. Unfortunately, that room was not available so they put me in a regular queen room. The first room had a horrible/stale/musty odor that tool 1/2 a can of lysol to get over. Unfortunately for other reasons, i had to change rooms. The second was the same as far as odor goes but again, the Lysol worked. The bed was comfortable but the inens had holes in them that appeared to be cigarrete burn holes. Same as previous, the breakfast was continental and as i stated previously, for the rate you would expect more. As for the property, it was quiet, safe and well lit. I will have hesitancy before booking here until the have more rooms refurbished.

The bed was very hard and you could hear the springs every time once of us moved. The furniture was okay but obviously very worn. The breakfast was a joke! Nothing that was hot except a breakfast sandwich that could be heated, out of spoons and the juice machine was out of order. For a Wyndham motel, I thought it was nothing to shout about.

Surprised
I was nervous due to the reviews i read beforehand but that changed. The check in went smooth and had no trouble parking near my room. The property is definitely older but maintained. I stayed in a 1 king bed room and it was nice and spacious. My 1st morning there i needed some documents printed and the staff and GM were great and helpful. For an older place, it was a nice stay. Cons- the breakfast is continental, i would think for the rate a little more would be included. The housekeeping staff was awesome, clean room every night after work. I would definitely recommend and stay again.

Worst place I have seen in a LONG LONG time. Shower was broken, no way to shower. When I notified management of the shower issue, they said "I should have notified them upon check in." I told them that I do not routinely inspect showers to see if they work on initial check in and obviously no one was there to help after midnight when I went to take a shower. Dirty, Unsafe, rooms below second floor taped off with caution tape as concrete looked like it was falling off. Management rude and uninterested. Hopefully corporate office will get involved because this place is a NIGHTMARE

Property is dated but clean. Most of the staff is very friendly and accommodating, but the owner is extremely rude and fails to realize that without patrons, he goes out of business.

Disappointing at Best
I opted for the three bed suite. The third bed was in a separate room with a door on it. That would have been a nice feature if the second room had an air conditioning unit. However, no a/c unit in late June in Texas was brutal. I had to leave the door open and try to siphon some a/c off of the main room. Given that the standard single a/c unit was being used for more sq ft than normal, it didn't cool down in the room until somewhere between 2-4am. The price was not worth it. The whole family was mad at Dad!

We are so sorry of your experience. However, if you had asked the Front Desk Clerk they would have told you to flip a switch on the second room that draws air into that room.

I was in a non-smokers room, but the room smelled entirely of smoke and had a musky/mold smell to it. I also recorded bugs crawling around the sink and bathroom area. I reported it to management and was told those bugs are part of East TX!

Hassle-free
Overall we enjoyed our stay. We were in town for a family reunion and this was the closest hotel. Check in and out both quick and smooth. Our toliet in our original room didnt flush, so I called the front desk and we were promptly moved to another room. No hassles at all. We would stay there again! Thanks!

Wifi never really worked. Non smoker booked into a smoking room, which could have been worse, but definitely could tell it was a smoking room. Plugs and faceplates were yellowed and dirty, and some rust staining on the tub. Only provided conditioner, not shampoo. Ultimately just a business trip night in Jasper at a budget Super 8, so wasn't expecting much, but performance here still could have been a little better. Front desk person was nice, but no one wearing masks and no divider in the main lobby for those concerned about the Rona.

The WiFi did not work, the toilet had to be manually pulled up to stop it from flowing, huge stain on the carpet, ac did not work correct and TV was to small for the price of the room
