Peaceful Getaway

The cabin was super cute and well stocked. The hosts went above and beyond to make sure our needs were met. The only complaint we had was a musty smell that bothered our allergies. The cabin was clean, but probably had just been closed up and needed fresh air. We took allergy meds and that helped. Thanks for allowing a late check out and checking in on us daily.

My new favorite getaway in the Ga mountains! I’m a big fan of Big Canoe and stay there often to be near my grandkids. This “heavenly” escape is exactly that - heavenly! Cozy, extremely well appointed, beautifully decorated and situated in the most peaceful place you can imagine. Do not hesitate! This place is large enough for family and small enough to feel at home and together.

Fall Break

My family and I spent 3 wonderful nights at Heavenly Hideaway! It was a much needed break after a very stressful 2 weeks of dealing with hurricanes at home in Florida. Everything about the house was exactly as you see in the pictures…it was perfection and what we envisioned a mountain escape to be. Thank you so much! Kids are already asking if we can return this summer.

Great House, iffy location.

The inside of the house was clean and organized. No complaints. The outside of the property was not. I will leave it at that. The drive up the mountain was like a thrill ride at Universal. Last time at Big Canoe we stayed in a condo in the 400 section that was perfect. Despite liking the house I would not book again as the ride is vomit worthy. (my passengers can testify) We had a small snafu at check in but it was handled professionally by the staff. Love Big Canoe and will return.

Perfection

Our stay at Heavenly Hideaway was so enjoyable! The house was clean, beautifully decorated and well supplied, and the setting is just gorgeous. We had no shortage of fun family activities available to us within the resort community. We enjoyed hiking to some pretty impressive waterfalls right within the community. Our day of swimming, boating, and using the natural rock slide at the beach club was a highlight. I recommend reaching out to the property managers ahead of your arrival for more details about using the community amenities to help you budget and plan out your days activities for your stay. There are so many things to do; truly something for everyone. We also visited Amicalola Falls State Park during our stay. It was an easy and beautiful drive. We look forward to our next stay, and will certainly recommend this location to friends!

Beautiful!

Beautifully decorated home with great screened in porch. Easy communication and instructions to follow. The big canoe community and activities is wonderful. We would love to revisit and stay here again. Highly recommend!

Heavenly Stay in Big Canoe

Darling cabin. Beautifully decorated and so comfortable. The owners thought of everything for a most enjoyable vacation. Great location in Big Canoe. Convenient to the Swim Club, Tennis and Clubhouse. Yet nestled up in the mountain.

AMAZING

This cabin in Big Canoe was fantastic. The hosts were awesome and able to be reached anytime something was needed. They also made sure our stay was going smoothly. The cabin itself was immaculate and perfect for our family of 5. We had plenty of room and could have easily fit 3-4 more people. The hiking trails in the area were easily accessible with a short drive to the parking at the trail heads. I recommend this cabin 1000%. Thank you for the great memories.

Wonderful home in Big Canoe

Stayed here for a short solo trip to the North Georgia mountains. The home is lovely, fully equipped kitchen, extremely comfy bed. Had a wonderful time!

Cutest Cottage in the Woods

If you are looking for a fairytale cottage tucked away in the woods, this will not disappoint. Every detail of this beautiful home feels like it was curated by Joanna Gaines herself. There are multiple dreamy places to curl up with a book, my favorite being either the screened in porch (with the string lights on) or the unexpected swing in the corner of the living room. I am not big into Instagram or Social Media but if I were this place would be where I’d want to stay. Also, if you have kids there is a whole closet full of board games and activities. I didn’t meet the owners but I just think they have to be so nice to share such a great house and add all the details they did. The manager of the property is great and very responsive. I was impressed that they left the lights on for us and a welcome basket too. Thank you to the owners and Tressa of Grand Welcome for making this trip so great. We hope to return soon.

Nice place but not managed well

This is a great home in a quiet area. Spacious and comfortable for several people. No issues with the home itself. The management company is lacking. I sent questions to them twice and they never responded. It’s a gated community and getting through the gate was challenging since we had to check in with a guard. All people and their cars had to be registered before we could get in. We had a second car arrive later and they where held up at the gate waiting for the management company to approve them . I went back and checked but couldn’t find these requirements in the listing.

Family getaway

Absolutely charming cabin. Was equipped with everything needed with extra special touches like a snack basket and coffee pods. Management company was very communicative and helpful. Our family of 6 thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
