Their cabin was awesome! And so clean! It was just what I needed.
For those of you reading to see if this is a good place to bring ankle-biters, you can stop reading. I got nothing for you.
At first I was a little nervous driving in the gated community. Everything was definitely in the mountains, but I was concerned that some of the houses, as nice as they were, were a bit close together. I was looking for a cabin in the woods where I couldn't see any houses or people.
Once I turned onto the actual street, I saw I had nothing to worry about. It was exactly the solitude I was looking for. The closest neighbors are in the back, and you have to really look through the leaves to see them. I didn't feel crowded at all.
Highlights: -The front porch has both a screened in and open section. All of the porch is under covering. It was great sitting outside on their comfy chairs, all bundled up, listening to the rain. - The main living room has a pretty nice home theatre speaker system. I was able to hook my phone into it and listen to my tunes. -The kitchen is great. I brought all of my food. The cooking utensils I forgot, they had. - There is a book they put together with lots of information. For me, all the info on the local hiking trails were great! I didn't go to all of them, but the ones I went to were spot on. I recommend the Forever Memorial Trail.
I hope I'll be able to come back here one day.
