Mostly positive

The house was lovely, well-organized and spotless. The owner was responsive and quick. The only major issue was a cooling problem but I'm not sure if we didn't know how to work the thermostat properly. Bottom line is the main floor and basement were very hot with temperatures reaching 80 degrees. The owner was notified but said it was a new unit and suggested we use a portable fan. It was not remotely sufficient to cool the main living area and multiple bedrooms. Absent the cooling issue, I would have given five stars but frankly, everyone in my family was dissapointed by the problem.

Mountain Getaway

Absolutely one of the best Cabins/Houses we have stayed at in all the years of traveling! This place was very clean and welcoming! It was extremely quiet and safe! The trail access from the back was perfect for a daily hike. We did several of the trails and enjoyed the peacefulness of nature!! The restraunts around the area were great also and the Lowes food store had plenty of local options! We took a trip over to Helen, Ga and it was a short day trip which was a neat jaunt out of the community!! Would highly recommend this place and we hope to be coming back during the warmer months to see all the different activities offered then as well!!! Veronica was an absolute pleasure to work with and had some awesome suggestions. She never seemed bothered by any of our questions and always responded promptly!! You will not be disappointed in staying here!!

Great Getaway Retreat for Friends

We were 6 women celebrating holidays and enjoying the mountains. The house is in a great location in Big Canoe. The bedrooms and baths were perfect for 6 women. The house is very comfortable for us. It had plenty of amenities, was described exactly as said and very comfortable. Thank you for a wonderful stay. We shall return!

Wonderful Girls Weekend

Five 55+ ladies spent the weekend at this beautiful Big Canoe property. We loved having our own rooms, and most of us had our own bathrooms. The whole house was thoughtfully appointed with quality linens, bath products and a well-equipped kitchen. The gas fireplace gave a cozy feeling, and we also enjoyed the outdoor firepit. The property has access to the Big Canoe amenities (restaurant, indoor pool, hot tub, sauna, etc. for $20 daily fee), but we did not take advantage of those. Our hosts were extremely attentive, answering our messages promptly and taking a phone call to answer a question when we arrived. We enjoyed our trip tremendously.

Perfection!!

Host was quick to respond. The house was spotless. King sized beds in 4 bedrooms was an outstanding choice and it was one of the top reasons I chose this house. We didn’t even need the 5th room which I think and 2 queens. Would love to stay in this home again for longer than 2 rainy days… It was still heaven. Look forward to maybe a week next trip.

Annual Big Canoe trip

This year we had a wonderful holiday weekend at Big Canoe. This property was super convenient to the Beach Club, the Clubhouse and the pickelball courts. The host was very nice and easy to get in touch with. The house was stocked with so many extra nice touches. I would definitely recommend this house and community for a fun filled weekend gateway!

Beautiful, immaculate home with amazing views

This trip was for our entire family to celebrate Thanksgiving. The property was exactly as posted and it was a joy staying here. The host checked in with us and immediately took care of a couple of little items that we weren't sure of. The location of this home is perfect as it is above the pool and beach and still has both mountain and lake views. Big Canoe is always a joy and this host and property made it even more so!

The best lake house in Big Canoe!

My family and I recently stayed at a VRBO property for a short vacation, and we had a fantastic time. The property is spacious, clean, and well-maintained with plenty of room for all of us to spread out. We love the décor! The property has direct lake access from the backyard, filled with great amenities such as indoor/outdoor pool, gym, water activities etc., and it is only a short drive away from golf courses and restaurants. We appreciated the peace and quietness of the area. It felt like a spa for our brains! For those who love games, there is plenty to choose from in the game room. So much fun and yet so relaxing! The communication with the property owner was seamless and check-in was a breeze. We appreciate the detailed instructions provided prior to our arrival. More than anything, the owner is extremely kind and accommodating. One of the highlights of the property was the outdoor space, which included a large deck with plenty of seating and a grill. We enjoyed many meals outside and even spotted some local wildlife in the surrounding woods. The kids really loved it here! Overall, our experience with this VRBO property was excellent and we would recommend it to others. We will be back here very soon! Did I mention the lake view from most of the areas in the house! Gorgeous!
