Everything about this home was as advertised and then some. The owners were quick to respond. The home had everything we needed. It was very clean and well maintained. The property had a lovely view. We would definitely stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay! The house was spotless, beautifully decorated, and even better than expected. The view was absolutely amazing and made the whole trip feel extra special. The hosts were fantastic; super helpful, responsive, and easy to communicate with. We would definitely stay here again!

We held our daughter’s wedding at The Tate house and this was the perfect location for us to say. The home was beautiful and welcoming. The hosts responded quickly to all of our questions. We would love to come back in the summer and enjoy the community

First I want to say this isn’t really a lakefront property. I didn’t see any water near the home. However, that wasn’t a great concern for us and was not why we booked the property. Map shows it is very near the lake. The house was very nice. It shows some wear as previous guests had obviously not taken care to not leave rings in the furniture with their drinks, etc. But overall most furnishing were very nice looking. We had an issue with the thermostat & the hosts fixed it quickly. Every time we contacted them they replied almost immediately. We needed permission for a delivery & they handled it. They have tried to think of things you might need like laundry soap, spices, coffee, trash bags, cotton swabs, etc. They even left some snacks. The fireplace in the living room was a mystery. We really couldn’t figure it out if gas or wood burning & how to use it yet the photos show it running in the listing. . Everything we used seemed to work well including the hot tub. We had some problems getting the dishwasher to work till we figured out the controls were locked. We did buy a bath mat for the upper bathroom because the tub was slippery. I did think it was a little strange when the hosts who apparently have another home in Big Canoe dropped by. Overall It is a lovely home. I won’t stay again because I have a dog I usually travel with and they don’t allow dogs.

We absolutely loved our time at the house and in Big Canoe! We came for a wedding in nearby Dawsonville and this was the perfect retreat! The house has everything you need, and the kids room is the best we’ve ever had. Highly recommend!

Great for Big Families

The house was in excellent condition and very clean. Very accommodating for my family with small children. Kitchen fully equipped and bedrooms decorated kid friendly. Great hosts with excellent communication. We will be back to stay here again.

Beautiful get away

This is a beautiful and well appointed house up in the mountains of Georgia. Our family of 6 stayed 5 nights. The owners have thought of every little thing. Lots of games we all enjoyed, wood and fire starters for the fireplace, a gas fire pit table, kayaks, and the use of binoculars and walking sticks. The coffee set up is on point with keurig and drip coffeemaker. We found everything we needed in the kitchen to cook simple meals. Every bedroom was cozy. Lots of throw blankets and TVs in every room. Ping pong, pool, and darts, making it a great place for families with big kids… but we noticed all the necessities for young families too. We hiked a different trail in the community almost everyday (except the day we kayaked). All easy trails. This is truly a beautiful location and was a total reset for us. The owners go above and beyond to make this easy, comfortable, and enjoyable for visitors.

Beautiful location!

This place is gorgeous! Everything was clean, check in was tedious with the front gate but was made really clear by the owners so it went really smoothly! All our problems were taken care of promptly by the owners. Great experience all around!

Property was wonderful. The only complaint was the lady at the north entrance. Very rude. Misread the names of our children and would not let one of them in. Took a while to get it straightened out.

Greatest Place on Earth

The stay was the best we have had in GA to date. The grounds were beautiful with so much to see and do. I took over 1,000 photos during our stay of the environment and all the wildlife. We saw over 20 deer, 8 different mushrooms, 3 kinds of moths and about 100 different spiders lol. We will be back to Big Canoe for sure !

Amazing Cabin with Gracious hosts

Wow! This cabin is gorgeous & the hosts really thought of everything. From the coffee bar, to the wine area to the charging station - any amenity you might need is provided! I brought my infant & they had a pack & play with clean sheets, high chair, baby bathtub - very family friendly. This is a trip perfect for any group. I wish we stayed longer. As a family who has stayed at many lovely rental homes, this one stands out as a favorite due to the amenities. Usually in cabins you’re rushing to the store for coffee, soap etc when you get off a long flight but they provide everything you need & are extremely thoughtful. I hope to stay again soon

Great house in Big Canoe

We loved our stay in this lovely home. It was just as pictured. The master bedroom bed was very comfortable and the soaking tub was superb! The kitchen had everything we needed including some extras that we didn’t know we needed until leaving (Nespresso milk frother was amazing, we bought one for home). The game room on the ground level became our movie theater and we really enjoyed it. The swing on the front porch was the perfect place to watch nature and read. The location was perfect, close to both the swimming lake and wildcat pool. I highly recommend staying here. We can’t wait to come back next summer!

Great house, everything you could want and more

The home had everything one could ever need. Plenty of space for our group to spread out and relax, the kids enjoyed the bunk room and the pool table in the basement. The community had a variety of amenities to entertain the family. Claudia and Joaquin were gracious hosts and always quick to respond to inquiries. This home will not disappoint. Will definitely come back again.
