As soon as we walked in, it felt very cozy! We enjoyed playing the games, drinking a cup of coffee on the porch in the morning, and watching the sunset at the beach right down the street. The room was very clean and comfortable. It was close to local restaurants and the lighthouses. We really enjoyed our stay!

Amazing stay!

I stayed here for the weekend with my mom and older sister for a family reunion. The place was better than what we expected. Nice secluded area. The hosts were very responsive and helpful. Check in and check out was really simple and easy. If I am ever in the area again, I would stay here. It’s absolutely perfect. Thank you Mercy and John!

Cozy cabin with a private beach

This cabin is just a drive away from outerbanks and has its own private neighborhood beach. The hosts are so nice and accommodating and very helpful.

A hidden treasure!

I cannot begin to put into words what a special time we had at Juniper Cottage. It is such a cozy, quaint space, with the most gracious hosts. This listing is pristine, organized, well stocked and most welcoming. We were absolutely charmed by the neighborhood beach, as well as the town of Jarvisburg. We also loved how convenient it was to local beaches, tourist attractions, and delicious restaurants. The highlight of our stay, though, was the Wii, lol! We loved it. Overall we couldn’t have asked for a better experience, and it is all thanks to our EXCELLENT hosts. Honorable mentions: gated deck that our doggy could sunbathe on, good water pressure, reliable wifi, and a super comfy mattress. We loved our first OBX experience, and we will absolutely be back again!

Cute little house

Great stay. Very quaint and cosy very enjoyable stay. Beds very comfortable amenities nice. Only complaint is the ants. Obviously its nc ants are everywhere and there is nothing that can be really done about that. Maybe leaving some ant killer or something so that we could have handled the bigger most problematic hills around the house would be helpful.

Perfect getaway spot

This was the perfect little house for our visit. Extremely clean, quaint private beach 5 minute walk, lots of little extras, shampoo, conditioner, body wash. Comfy bed. Friendly neighbors bot human and K9! Would highly recommend.

Great Little Place

We enjoyed our stay immensely. We used it as a little writers' retreat, and the place was perfect. The hosts were fantastic. It was clean and had everything we needed to make every meal. The check-in and check-out rules were clear and reasonable. I highly recommend the place for a getaway.

Amazing Beach Vacation

This is an excellent choice for your trip to OBX! A 20 minute drive to Kitty Hawk beaches (easy to find free parking too), a <10 min from vineyard, grocery store, farm stand, and many other local stores! John and Mercy were excellent hosts, they gave us an extensive list of activities around the area as well as restaurant recommendations. The property itself is very charming and clean and away from all the hustle and bustle. The private neighborhood beach is excellent for watching the sunset, reading a book in the morning, and/or meeting the friendly neighborhood people/dogs. We would highly recommend this property for anyone traveling to OBX!

Adorable quiet vacation spot

We had a wonderful time at this property. It was perfect for a quick get away. The short walk to the beach was wonderful. We watched the most beautiful sunset. We would love to return! The property was well stocked with everything we needed to have a wonderful vacation. The community is special too. We loved the little library down the street too!

Perfect little house

We had the best time! The house was clean and supplied with everything we needed for cooking showering washing clothes etc and even had everything for the beach also! My daughter was delighted with the children’s books and toys. Definitely will book again! Great location off from the crowds you get close to the beach

A bit farther than expected

Nice room in a quiet area, about a half hour away from beaches. Dirt roads to access and tight parking entrance. There was some pet hair on the bedsheets when we arrived but changed them out with the extra set of sheets which was fine. There were plenty of things to do inside the cabin and overall was an enjoyable experience.

Perfect and easy getaway

Pretty neat. They have a wii. Demolished my wife in wii sports. Like a lot. Embarassing really. Great lil beach like a 5 minute walk away. 20 minutes to obx beaches without the traffic. Cant wait to come back!

This property is absolutely lovely. I brought two dogs who had an awesome time along with my daughter. The beach is breath taking. The fire pit was so fun fun and so warm! Giant Jenga was a hit with my party! The home is beautiful and well kept. The hosts were amazing and very attentive. Communication was top notch. And the neighbors are friendly and helpful. I even forgot something and the host messaged me immediately and is getting it to me. This house will be great for anyone wanting to stay. I had an amazing time and can't wait to come back again!
