"My husband and I stayed on a Saturday night in November as a birthday treat. We stayed in the loft suite. This room is clean, cosy beautifully decorated. The bathroom is amazing ! We absolutely loved the jetted bathtub. It really was a selling point for us. Breakfast was very nice. Lovely fresh eggs. We enjoyed having our own private dining toom too. Paul was very nice and made us feel very welcome. We will definitely be coming back again. Thank you ."

"We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Chestnut Tree. Lisa, the host was the main reason, she is a great communicator which is important when booking. She was so very helpful with local information and incredibly kind. Our room was beautiful and the amenities in the bathroom delightful. The area is beautiful but with only one night, we didn’t get the change to do much exploring. Next time. Thank you Lisa for a wonderful stay."

"Ockenden manor was beautiful and staff very accommodating and friendly. We were also upgraded at check in which was a nice surprise. The room was beautifully designed, and bathroom and bedding were clean, although we did find two pieces of rubbish left behind by a previous guest in the room. Hotel guests can access the spa at no additional cost from 2pm on day of check in to 2pm on day of check out and the spa facilities were beautiful. Good vegan and veggie options at breakfast. "The gruff owner needs to realise that she is in the hospitality business, not doing you a favour by allowing you to stay at her hotel. I stayed there for 8 nights and had the following inconveniences: Breakfast was not provided the first day, even though I had paid for it (“I’m not starting to do breakfasts again until tomorrow”); my room was not cleaned on Sunday (“the chambermaid doesn’t work on Sundays”); the first time I used the shower all kinds of black bits of dirt and fungus came out of...

"Muy mala. La calefacción no funcionaba correctamente en la mayoria de las habitaciones. El check in muy tarde (y lento) y check out muy temprano. Desayuno tambien termina demasiado temprano. No hacen las habitaciones a diario. El servio en recepción no podia resolver los problemas. Mi grupo llevó mas de 50 personas al hotel. Totalmente descartado para el año que viene."
