Cute place needed few touch ups. Maye list accommodation different (said sleeps 5 but should have put not all adults) store and restaurant hours should be later during summer time would be better(way to early) can't check in til 4 by then everything almost shut dwn for day. Nothing major we would be back

Our cabin was great!
Our cabin was better than expected. We arrived very late and they were very helpful with a lat check in. Parking was right next to our cabin. Beds were very comfortable and cabin was very clean. We will definitely be back. We didn't have time to use any of the pools, club house stuff and didn't need the laundry facilities, so not sure about those.

family fun weekend
overall the stay was great my kids really had a fantastic time especially in the pool. really the only bad thing was the sofa bed in my cabin it was terrible i could feel the bars of the bed against my back all night i did not get a good nights sleep and also the cabin was also a bit on the small side. i would stay again

Clean and quiet. They were very helpful with our requests. The only thing is that they forgot to give us the gate code to be used after-hours to get into the property.

Family vacation
The employees were amazing! They were helpful and informative about the surrounding area. I enjoyed the quiet location. Unfortunately there were a few issues that were a huge impact for myself and my family. This was a family trip for me and my children. And had one child leaving on deployment and another leaving for boot camp. This was supposed to be a relaxing fun filled family time. There were issues with the stove which was corrected. We rented 2 movies that we couldn’t watch because the DVD player did not work and they did not have any others available. The basketball court needs some TLC. I did enjoy the quiet and no cell phone service. That allowed me and my children to focus on the short time we had together. We didn’t get those unwanted text or calls. Other than than those issues we still had fun. I would go back and recommend this as a place to stay. Just hope they correct those little issues.

Cozy Cabin
We stayed in the pet free cabin with one I think queen bed and bink bed. The cabin was super clean, stocked and cozy. We loved the resort! Only thing, wifi is not optimal and although we were "unplugged" for the most part, now days, you fo need wifi, for directions, etc. We highly reccomend!

Nice and relaxing place
Quite, relaxed laid back. Heck of a way to visit the SD area and wake up in the mornings to relaxation. Nothing fancy but not expected either.

The pool and laundry room was closed, with the laundry closed it lead to a huge inconvenience as there are no other laundromats in the near area. Activity center closed at 6pm, would have been able to use it if it had been opened later. Staff at the gait could not tell us where to pick up sports equipment. Our cabin had a leak in it and no one came to fix it or even look at it. Our unit was also missing a TV. The park appears to be in poor condition. Would not stay there again.

Perfect gem in the hills
Pio Pico was a great place to stay. It was super family friendly, with two different pools on site. One even had a wadding pool for the little guys. The cabin was very clean and had everything you would need. Linens, cooking supplies, cleaning supplies, air conditioning, and more. The scenery was gorgeous and it's less than an hour away from the San Diego Zoo and about an hour away from Cardiff State Beach. So much cheaper than staying in an air bnb or a hotel. We'll definitely visit again.

Great campground near San Diego area!
This campground was a fun little gem about 30 minutes away from the main San Diego area. My 9-year old daughter loved the outdoors and all the fun the campground had to offer. I would highly suggest checking the campground’s schedule ahead of time before booking, as both the youth center and the restaurant were closed during our mon-wed stay, but it was still very nice. They offer a ton of activities for the kids and adults too. The pool was great, the spa could have been a bit hotter. They also have an adult only pool that we did not check out. There are many food and shopping options less than 10 minutes down the road, but the campground has a little store/market there for emergencies. There is also a very nice looking lake nearby that I’m sure has more activities for your family. We stayed in one of the cabins at the campgrounds and it was equipped with comfy linens and towels, despite Hotels.com telling us otherwise. If you do book, be sure to call the campground ahead of time to double check, so you don’t bring unnecessary linens. The A/C worked great and the shower was nice. Also comes with little kitchenette. People are very nice here, and the grounds are huge! There is also a very large and elaborate Indian casino about 10 minutes away that we ran into on the way home from sea world! - if you adults are into that. :) Overall, we had a nice time and will likely come back, maybe during the weekend to enjoy more of what the campground had to offer for the kiddos.

Give It A Go
It was a very enjoyable stay, Its a great place to get away from the Internet, there is no reception, great for the family to spend time with each other. The staff is friendly and they have activities throughout the day. It would be great though if they did horse riding though.

Would not stay here again
The ‘cabin’ we rented was basically a mini mobile home, which is fine if that was our expectation. It was so dirty from dead bugs on the countertops, to sticky floors, to grime on the light switches that were easily wiped off. The blinds were broken in our room so light shown in all night and cars (mainly border control maybe looking for someone) were driving by at early hours (5a-7a) of the morning when it would of been nice sleep. If we had any knowledge our stay would of been this bad we wouldn’t of booked or wasted our money. In the end we scrubbed it down good enough to sleep our two nights already paid for, were so glad hotel.com recommended to bring our own linen, and spent our days away from the campground.

Must love dogs and iPhones
The biggest challenge for our family is traveling with our dogs, one of which is 120lbs. Most hotels have a weight limit of 70 lbs. The cabin we rented for a week was perfect. The staff were very kind and accommodating. I loved the opportunity to disconnect and yet be 20min from town. The area is beautiful and relaxing. The only negative feedback I have, is from my kids. There is no cell phone coverage out there. The only way you can text is if you have an iPhone. The wifi cycles, meaning you have to keep updating your phone and computer to stay connected. The tv frequently loses sound, so don't watch anything you haven't seen before unless it's on DVD. Don't buy a frozen pizza, there is no oven in the cabin. Bring a fire wand to light the stove. Grill works great!

Hidden Gem
I loved this little place, whether your camping, Rving or prefer to stay in a cabin, this place has it all. We stayed in one of the cabins, and although it was quite small it was very nice. There was four of us and it was perfect, had a full kitchen with dishes. The shower was quite small but nice a clean, beds were comfy l. It was quiet out there, with nice views. Could go for nice walks or go and enjoy the two pools they have on site. If you have kids there is a playground and Games room. Had a little store there. Wifi was horrible, paid for a week and it hardly ever worked. Overall a fantastic place to stay. Didn't have to pay the crazy expenses of staying in San Diego.

Good place for us during San Diego Comicon
We stayed in a cabin during our weekend at comicon. It was a great place for us to crash. We didn't spend a ton of time in the campground, but it seemed generally clean. It was hard to find our specific cabin, but it was clean and looked very new. Sheets weren't super comfy, but you're staying at a campground, so the height of Luxury shouldn't be expected. We personally didn't get great cell service because it's in the hills, but you had to pay for the wifi, which seemed obnoxious. We also found ants in one of the bedrooms and bathroom on our second/last day. We obviously didn't have food there, so idk what the deal was with that. The staff were all friendly and helpful though. All in all, though, it's pretty decently located if you'd like to go to San Diego without paying San Diego hotel prices. If I ever go to comicon again, I'd consider another stay at Pio Pico.
