Centrally Located

The property’s best feature is it’s location. Being near the center of Eleuthera made it easier to explore the entire island. Brett, the manager, was prompt to respond to any communication from us, and always with a smile.

Reviewer Comments: The property was exactly as described on the website and in great shape. we had a water issue that the property manager addressed right away. The golf carts were all charged, there were enough chairs and beach umbrellas for all. We loved the music night at Lenrose on Thursday. It was a little more remote than we thought it would be, not understanding the travel time on the Queen's Highway.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall I was very satisfied with the property. Very clean, nicely furnished. Brett and Smitty were very friendly and helpful. They even retrieved and opened a fresh coconut for me!The only "complaint" I have is the condition and working order of the golf carts. The first cart we used had no working brakes and the second cart died on the trail to the Atlantic beach. but overall we enjoyed our stay very much.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Buttonwood was a nicely appointed condo. Comfortable bed and arrangement. There was no hot water for baths or showers finallyrepaired 3 days before we left. Beach was not nice. Pool was in disrepair. Dangerous electrical light in the water.Golf cart not charged. No propane for grills. Brett tried to help. Pam was difficult.

Bring your friends and family and stay awhile!

Reviewer Comments: This property was exactly what we needed for our large group of 30, multiple families getting together from 2 states to enjoy Spring Break in the Bahamas. Each condo was well maintained, well appointed with what families needed and had amazing views. Everyone loved the golf carts, amazing sandy private Atlantic beach with great waves, Caribbean beach for snorkeling and kayaking and heated pool. Property is in a great central location on Eleuthera, people made it from Light House Beach in the South to Harbour Island and Spanish Wells in the North and everything in between on our days there. Very close to grocery store in James Cistern. Sonya the property manager and her staff were welcoming and accommodating. If you are thinking about a trip to a family island in the Bahamas, where you can spend days being the only people an beach after beautiful beach this is the place for you!

A Memorable Family Beach Vacation

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Eluethera Vacation Rentals offered amazing service and support prior to our family vacation in Buttonwoods. They could not have been more helpful. The materials and Welcome Letter were extremely useful and a good resource for the island of Eleuthera. The onsite property manager was also very service oriented.The beach was absolutely beautiful and very private, complete with a shipwreck to view. Having access to the gulf carts made it easy (and fun!) to haul all the young children and sand toys to the beach. (A bonus was all the beach toys and beach chairs stowed on site which was all available for use.)Overall, there were some issues with maintenance, which the onsite property manager attempted to address in a timely manner. One issue was the electrical circuits, which interrupted sleep at night. Every time the upstairs guest turned on their fans, the fans and lights in the downstairs unit automatically came on. If guests have different sleep schedules, the lights and fans coming on at various hours during the night can be disturbing. The frequent but usually short nocturnal power outages also interrupted sleep, not because of loss of electricity per se, but due to the noise created. Every time the power went out, the loss of electricity stimulated the safety alarm system which was stimulated again when the power came back on, resulting in being woken up by the flashing lights and alarms during the noturnal power outages.Finally, as noted in the property brochure, beware of the No-see-ums, as they present a lasting itchy memory of the time in Eleuthera! Question: Would we come back? Absolutely!!!

A Quiet Retreat from Everything!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed for several weeks in February at Buttonwood Reserve. The weather was delightful. The house - Very comfortable and well appointed with incredible sea views. The Starlink highspeed Internet was blazing fast for us to work remotely and enjoy Netflix. We had a few very minor issues that Brett the property manager took care of immediately. Brett is an amazing person and resource giving us valuable insights from car rentals, grocery stores, restaurants and sightseeing. The golf carts are a great addition to ferry back and forth from the incredible Atlantic beach. The brand new pickleball court looks great. The sand and water!Buttonwood is centrally located on the island, so it's a convenient spot to explore all that Eluthera has to offer.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a wonderful time at Buttonwood. The two beaches are gorgeous, and it was fun to have easy access to both sides of the island. We spent more time exploring the many nearby beaches and also took a boating tour with Captain Kid and Son, which was a highlight of the trip. Our favorite nearby beach was Gaulding Cay. Buttonwood is the perfect mid-island location for exploring all the wonders of Eleuthera. There are so many beautiful things to see, and it was perfect to come home to a comfortable, well-appointed condo in the evenings. I can't recommend Buttonwood enough!

You can see the see from bed in the master bedroom. I would recommend you book this unit for your stay. Pool area was relaxing and the pool was always clean. They were fixing the heater so the first few days the water was cool but still nice to swim in.Love that he property is close to both Govenors Harbour and James Cistern so lots to do if you want. The island is so beautiful and you can do lots of day trips from Buttonwood. I would highly recommend unit 1b for its spacious layout and beautiful views of the sun rises and sunsets over the Caribbean Sea.

Great family getaway.

Group Trip: great location, nice and relaxed feel

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a group of geologists come and stay at the Buttonwood reserve. We rented 5 apartments. It was a great location for the proximity to the GHB airport, as well as to many of the sites we visited. Although the apartments had a few hiccups (not each one was fully stocked, one door handle broke off, and some power issues in a couple of apartments), the staff was very quick to respond and generally came over to fix the problem within a matter of the day. We loved the golf carts, and the easy access to both beaches. Our group had a great time and look forward to going back someday soon.

Buttonwood Reserve Rocks

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We spent two wonderful weeks at Buttonwood in March 2018: the first week in Unit 1B, and the second in Unit 2D. Both units were clean, comfortable, modern, attractively decorated, and with "picture postcard" views of both the Atlantic and the Caribbean. A sparsely populated beach was a short walk or golf cart ride away. Buttonwood Reserve is convenient to Governors Harbor, James Cistern, and Rainbow Bay, with their wide range of delightful restaurants. The Governors Harbor Airport is a six-minute drive from Buttonwood.The sun was warm, the weather soothing, and the holiday a real treat for us.

VERY ACCOMODATING ...

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We decided to join in and help celebrate a 50th birthday for one of our closest friends, and didn't decide to go until the last minute. This proved to be no issue at all, specifically because the management team at Buttonwood were so supportive and understanding of our situation. The one thing Buttonwood has above all is ample space - so if you are a large group who wants to be together, but have your own space - this is the perfect place. There were 31 of us total with kids, and you never felt on top of each other. The condos are clean and feel up to date. The amenities were superb. Having your own golf cart was critical and really fun to access both sides of the island. The pool was warm at all times and the property is well maintained, unlike in some of our previous experiences in the Bahamas.We would DEFINITELY stay here again.

Pretty condo, beautiful island

The condo is new, clean and decorated nicely. It is well stocked with all the beach supplies you could need. The kitchen is also well stocked. My kids loved golf cart rides to the beach, taking the kayaks out, and exploring the beautiful beaches of Eleuthera. It was also nice to have access to a pool at the end of each day. We have loved our stay at Buttonwood!

We just stayed at one of the villas at Buttonwood Reserve and highly recommend to anyone coming to Eleuthera seeking a new and very clean place to hang their hat, enjoy stunning water views, spend time on a gorgeous private beach with (we suppose depending on your time there) no one on it, swim in a heated pool, etc. The location is great for trips to Governor's Harbour and Palmetto Point, very close by James Cistern settlement with a great little grocery store/liquor store and a beach bar called Leo Rose's, also Rainbow Bay with beach and inn just 10 minutes up the road. Buttonwood Reserve is a hidden gem in our minds and we can't say enough about the amenities and excellent concierge service that comes with a stay here. The people were great.
