My husband and my two sons (16 and 20) had an amazing time. We were there for 6 nights . We had everything we needed,plenty of towels including bathroom towels , kitchen supplies, even laundry detergent. The outdoor sitting area and pool was the best especially sitting and bird watching in the morning . We enjoyed the floats and the beach balls for a fun game of volleyball. We loved hanging at the community pool and enjoying the delicious and awesome vibes at Yo Yo’s beach bar. Hermosa Palms is a gem !Kelly and Debbie were great , very responsive and helpful.We can’t wait to go back .

We had such an amazing time during our spring break stay in Hermosa Palms! Our host was amazing and connected us with everything we needed to ensure our stay was care free! The home was beautiful with a private pool and a community pool in the neighborhood right on the ocean! The home was comfortable and clean and had everything we needed for our family if 6! I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

We had the best time! The property met all of our needs & more! We loved having a washer/dryer; enough bedrooms for us each to have our own & our own pool! The community is safe & secluded with security guard at entry & just a short walk to the community pool. The location is close to restaurants & shopping. We loved the pool bar & restaurant! Everyone was so friendly & the food was delicious! The hosts were super accommodating & very responsive! The house was very clean & met all of our needs! We will be back!

This is a lovely property and the host was excellent at responding to any of our questions. Our family had a great time at the house pool and community pool and beach area. Waves were a bit too big for all of us to swim at the beach. We also loved having a pool bar to purchase meals and drinks when we didn’t want to cook. We will definitely be back one day!

The Community is built on top of itself (more concerned with development and not esthetics). There is lots of construction ongoing (02/2025). The beach is dirty with debris and trash (tires, plastic, etc.). The beds are extremely uncomfortable and the hot water was insufficient. The community pool ran out of water at the outdoor showers (used for cleaning sand off feet and legs) so use of the community pool was not possible. Wash and dryer was nice to have. Felt safe and was quiet at night. Lots of iguana and beautiful birds.

Our stay in Costa Rica was amazing. The home was exactly as described, The location was wonderful and we felt very safe. We saw tons of wildlife right at the house. Debbie was very attentive and helped us secure our outings. We will be back!!

We had an incredible stay celebrating my birthday and the New Year! Hermosa Palms Casa Alma is unbeatable! The house was spotless, modern, and well-stocked with everything we needed. The host went above and beyond to help us plan for meals and activities, which was especially appreciated since we didn’t have a car. The community amenities were fantastic with a wonderful menu at the pool restaurant, easy walk to the the beach with the most spectacular sunsets Highly recommend this property for a relaxing and memorable getaway!

We stayed for one week and had a great time. House was very clean and well stocked with utensils and supplies. The pool bar and food were exceptional. Everybody we encountered was friendly! The scuba, Tortuga Island, National Park, and local eateries were all excellent!

I can’t express how much we loved our stay. The house was beautiful! So well maintained with everything you need. We only used the kitchen for breakfast, but it is very well equipped. We loved both the resort pool with swim up bar and the private pool for late night swims. We were thrilled to see the scarlet macaws every day! Our contact Kelly was amazing - if we had a question, she was just a text away. We were morons and locked ourself out of the safe, and Kelly quickly resolved the situation for us! We did a monkey boat tour, a guided tour of Rainmaker, and the ATV waterfall tour. Shopping and great dining in nearby Jaco. We also drove to a nearby swimmable beach (Playa Herradura)- Playa Hermosa is beautiful, but for experienced surfers only- big riptides. But with the pools- it’s no big deal. Costa Rica Is an amazing place- and this is a great place to stay!

This is our 4th time staying in Hermosa Palms and this house is hands down the best one we’ve stayed in. It is very clean and updated. Exactly like the pictures. Was the perfect size for my husband and son and me. The private pool was great to have. There’s several iguanas that like to hang out in the yard and every day we had 6-8 macaws in the almond trees right by property. We loved sitting out on the deck patio and watching them. The house was very well stocked. Most houses we’ve stayed in don’t even have salt/pepper in the kitchen. There were plenty of towels and pool/beach towels to use. Having the full sized washer and dryer was great too. The beds and pillows were on the very firm side but softer ones is a personal preference. The neighbor’s dogs barked off and on so during the night was a little nuisance. The fans and AC were able to drown them out. We love staying in this neighborhood with it being right on the beach and we love the community pool. And Yo-Yo’s is delicious as well. We had a fabulous week here and it went too fast! We love Costa Rica and would most definitely stay in Debbie’s home again. 💕

Our stay was great from start to finish. Debbie was quick to communicate and another family member who is local communicated with us throughout the trip and was helpful to answer questions and figure out other logistics. The property is part of a larger house but has its own entrance and is like having your own, private place (common set up for this community). It is well appointed with everything you need from laundry to a fully stocked kitchen. It also has plenty of A/C units to cool you down after being outside in the heat all day. It's a short 2 block walk to the club house and community pool which also gets you to the pool bar/restaurant and beach. This is a great place to be out of the main area of Jaco and also closer to Manuel Antonio if you are heading that direction.

We greatly enjoyed our stay at Casa Alma. It is not easy finding a place that can satisfy six adults at various life stages, as well as a one year old toddler, but this house did it! PROS: We loved how non-busy the beach was in the mornings and evenings. It gave us lots of room for beautiful pictures and space for our toddler to run and splash in the shallow waves. While it isn’t a good beach for swimming, it is the perfect beach for walking, sunsets, shell hunting, and watching surfers. Having the option for the private pool was great for those that wanted to stick around the house, but our group also really enjoyed the community pool with swim up bar as well. Marco, the property manager, was very attentive and helped us with any issues that we had come up with our stay. Alvaro, the gardener, was extremely friendly and provided us fresh coconuts and bananas for our stay! All in all, the people that we encountered were the BEST and really wanted to make our stay as great as possible. Debbie and Bob were very quick to respond in the lead up to our trip and also had some great recommendations and information at the house to help us plan for restaurants and activities throughout the week. CONS: It is a vacation home (not a resort), so there were certainly times where there were some inconveniences that were outside of our control (or the control of Debbie and Bob). For example, it is a duplex type set up where there are two separate residences in a shared house. One of our nights in the house, the other resident was housing dogs that barked throughout the entire night. We also had a power outage for one of the mornings, which was a problem for those in our party who appreciated the A/C and wifi, and also made it difficult to get in contact with Marco. If you can survive some of these inconveniences, this is a great place to stay! In general, our week here went fast and it would have been great to have stretched it out longer. There is a lot to do and see in the area, and we feel as if we barely scratched the surface. Highly recommend making time to go to Manual Antonio for wildlife sightings and the beautiful beach (though do your research first!), as well as Rainmaker for some cool hiking.

This house at Casa Alma 78 was beautiful and had our private pool. Home was clean and spacious. Debbie was very easy to work with and a delight to speak with. Loved staying at Casa Alma! We enjoyed the location, the pool at the house and also the community pool! Used the swim up bar almost every day and Yo-yo is great! The food and drinks were wonderful. My son fed Don the iguana bananas that lives there :) The only thing that was a concern about the house were the stairs- three of us fell going down them :(

We had a terrific stay at Casa Alma. Perfect location to take day trips up and down the pacific coast. We loved being able to walk to the beach and the community pool that boasts a swim up bar, fresh food and small market. Definitely head to the beach at sunset. We went to local places like the Backyard Beach Bar and Vista Hermosa located directly on Hermosa Beach. The kids loved the private pool and sat outside every morning enjoying the bird watching. We took a day trip to Tortuga, went ATVing, Ziplining and explored the local beaches.

This was a long awaited family vacation. One year in the planning. We arrived in San José, and drove to the house at 11:00pm. We rented a GPS from the car rental company, but also had downloaded the WAZE App. We used the App all the time. It lets you know of slow traffic and alternate routes. Highly recommend getting an international phone plan for your visit. The drive was easy, a bit dark, but with caution everything went well. From the time that we arrived at the house, it was everything that I was expecting. The house looks exactly as it did in the pictures, but a lot better - a little hidden paradise. We all loved being able to swim in the pool after a morning run in the beach, or after a long day sightseeing. The community pool was amazing and so were the Piña Coladas. I have never had a better one, and I grew up in Puerto Rico. The fish tacos at the bar, were more like fish burritos, they were huge. I had a one hour massage by the beach, and it was absolutely a delight and so relaxing. Highly recommended. The AC in the house works great. It took a while to figure out the washer, sometimes it would take along time to drain, but it was nice to have both, washer and dryer, available. We always had plenty of hot water for showers. The bed in the master bedroom is very firm, There were plenty of beach towels available, and everything we needed to make a home cooked meal. The Wi-Fi signal is very strong. At night all six of us were able to connect to the Wi-Fi and text, call or check e-mails. Marco, the house manager was always available and very helpful. I contacted him before arrival, and he was able to get us some drinks, fruits and breakfast items for the next morning. There is a small convenience store by the Pool Club House, where you can get drinks and some food as well. It was really easy to get to Jaco for groceries, dinner or just walk around town. We felt safe at all time. But make sure that you don't walk alone, specially ladies. We went to Manuel Antonio, Vista los Sueños Adventure park, Rainmaker Park, and Tortuga Island. The trip to Tortuga Island had its pros and cons. We were picked up and dropped off right at the door of Casa Alma. The food was amazing and so was the trip. However, I would of preferred to have more down time, to relax by the ocean. It was a full packed day. Bowies Point is a local restaurant very close to the house. The food and service was great. Thank you Debbie, we had an amazing stay.
