Great location in south Jacó. Beach is very close and waves are great for surfing and boogie boarding. The unit has beach chairs, a boogie board, and a surf board. Covered secure parking. Many food options and a small market within walking distance. The condo is spacious and kitchen has everything you need. We appreciated the full size washer and dryer. Wish we were there longer. Highly recommend if you want a great beach and space to spread out with your family.

What a wonderful place! A quick walk to the beach, awesome sunset views, and comfortable place to stay! Christian was very quick to respond when we had questions and was johnny-on-the-spot when we had an issue with an air conditioning unit. Would definitely stay here again!

GOOD NEWS – VERY BAD NEWSThe good news: Sunset Boulevard Condo is undeniably a beautiful, spacious, and very clean property. It offers three bedrooms, two full bathrooms, a large kitchen/living area, and an absolutely stunning view of Jacó’s famous sunsets. Also good news, the services offered by the property manager Christian were excellent. He was polite, effective and readily accessibleThe very bad news: In 14 years of renting vacation properties across four continents, this was—without question—the worst-equipped kitchen we have ever encountered. Calling it a “kitchen” is almost generous.Every single dish—except the coffee mugs—was plastic. There was not a single microwave-safe dish. There were no oven dishes whatsoever. If you planned to cook anything beyond boiling water, forget it.The cookware situation was just as bad. There were only two frying pans: one so large it was practically unusable, and the other so battered it looked like it had survived a war in the dishwasher. (To be fair, after we complained, the property manager eventually provided a usable frying pan—but that should not have been necessary.)So here is the reality:If your idea of a stay is making a coffee in the morning and eating every single meal at restaurants, then this condo may suit you.If you expect to stay in a place advertised with a kitchen and actually prepare your own meals from time to time, do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else. Sunset Boulevard is simply not equipped for it.

perfect place for anyone who really enjoys the beach. Just steps away from the condo you can enjoy surfing swimming walking along the beach. Restaurants within walking distance in the city of Hako is a short drive or longer walk. very safe and secure for your car and the condo.

Perfect End to Our Vacation

We traveled all around CR and stayed a varying locations. This city is one of our favorites. The apartment was very clean and well stocked. We loved drinking coffee while looking down at the ocean. One of our favorite things about this location was the amount of locals on the beach (especially at sunset). Everyone had their music playing, kids were running around, and families/friends were enjoying each others company.

The pictures don’t do it justice!

Wow, this property made our stay in Jaco amazing! It is modern, clean, comfortable, and in the best location for sure. On the far end of the beach, so feels a bit quieter and more secluded. We sat on the balcony each morning with views of the ocean and beach trail horses and watched the Scarlet Macaws fly to and from the forest, right overhead. Within walking distance is a trail through the forest where we saw monkeys and toucans (look on map for Mirador Jaco off of Calle Miro). Manuel Antonio is a fairly short drive away, but we did not have a great experience there—I recommend reading their website carefully before you go and doing some pre-planning. We always felt safe here and parking was easy, even with an SUV, as there is a dedicated spot in the monitored garage. We cooked meals, and blended drinks : ), comfortably in the kitchen. Beach towels, chairs, and boogie boards are in the apt—such a nice touch—and the beach is just a short stroll away. Keyless entry is very convenient. There are lots of surf schools nearby, which we took advantage of and had a great time. There is a shower in the garage so you can rinse off before heading upstairs. The rooftop pool was too warm to enjoy, but we didn’t need it! Playa Jaco is a huge beach, with lots of restaurants and was very busy on Sat/Sun, but we had a great time with it and enjoyed our meals, swimming in the warm ocean, watching local families have fun. Honestly, our stay in this condo, so close to both wildlife and the water, made it an overall GREAT experience and best way to end our trip in CR before going to the airport (which is an easy drive from here). Monday was much quieter and we felt like we had the beach to ourselves compared to the weekend. For the most quiet experience, avoid the weekends for sure, but the noise was nearby—never in the condo complex itself, which always stayed quiet. We slept great. Cristian was quickly responsive to messages about check-in and any other questions we had. I recommend communicating via What’sApp, as the VRBO app was impossibly slow, especially while we were driving without Wi-Fi, and could not load an attachment. The check-in is a bit more complicated here, as you need to show ID to the manned booth before entry to the complex, but Cristian prepped them by telling them we were coming. Again, would reach out and get Cristian’s What’sApp info in advance for the smoothest experience! 100% would recommend this apartment for your Jaco stay!
