Nothing like oceanfront!The ocean view was incredible and being in walking distance to restaurants was great.Old mattress with 3" memory foam topper was hard to get comfortable on. Everything else was great, very clean, thoughtfully placed hooks, etc, - all the basics. Everything you really need.

Could use:

An automatic shut off coffee pot would be much safer. A full length mirror would be gracious!An ice maker would be a BIG plus!Key code is hard to use!Otherwise, we were content and happy with our stay for two old folks!

Great potential-great location-needs updated

My husband and I arrived at the property and couldn’t get our lock code to work. We had to call the after hours line for the realty office and we were instructed to jiggle and pull the door knob and were able to get in. We continued having issues with the lock the first 2 days so called the realtor again and were told they would leave an actual key in the drop box. I picked up the key and it was the wrong key. I headed back to the office and was given the correct key that time. They said they would call maintenance who showed up the next morning. The door was completely out of its frame so to make the lock functional, he had to adjust the door so it left a gap in the frame to the outside. Also, the property has a known issue with ants as there were ant baits placed around the property. We typically do a lot of cooking when we stay in Surf City but did not this year since there were so many ants. We had to keep all food (including dry goods) in the refrigerator to keep the ants out. Final note, the toilet is very small and anyone over 6 feet tall will find it difficult to use.

Wonderful

It was very quiet far enough from the pier where all the noise is usually at but can still look at the pier from where we were the neighbors in flat 2 next to us were very nice we all enjoyed our stay there thank u so much looking forward on coming again next year but looking in the same area for 2 bedroom where u allowed 4 dogs our dogs are small chichuawa mix they are quiet and well behaved and don’t chew things or have accidents indoors

Perfect Vacation Spot

Perfect Simple Vacation Spot to make memories. This place was simple yet very delightful. The best part is that the deck takes you right to the beach with just a few steps. We highly recommend this for anyone visiting Surf City.

Awesome place

The unit was perfect for 2, the view was perfect. If I have anything to caution about it would be that the climb up the dune back to the unit might be difficult for someone older or with mobility issues. We loved it and can’t wait to come back!!

What a Wonderful Week

This house was the perfect size. It had everything we needed. The deck and ocean views were my favorite part. All shops & restaurants were within walking distance. It was very clean and well kept. I will never forget this trip!

The unit was perfect for a stay on the beach. You could easily walk to the different restaurants and shops but it didn't feel too busy near the property.

Beach Trip

Had a great time at surf city, NC. The house was clean, small and perfect for us. We really enjoyed the deck & chairs. Didn’t have any problems with neighbors or people on the beach, pretty quiet and gorgeous beach! We loved that most of the food places were walking distance & the grocery stores were also close by too. We highly recommend Shaka taco for some amazing tacos and also Bahama Mama's Hawaiian Shaved Ice!

I was more than pleased with this vacation rental. In fact went back 3 days later and stayed on the other side for the other available date until the end of the year. I will most certainly be booking here again. Ward Realty is the most accomodating realtor and they go above and beyond to meet expectations.

Just what I needed

Pictures are accurate. I enjoyed sitting on the couch, working throughout the day and watching the waves crash. Even saw dolphins quite a few times. I would definitely come stay again.

The living room consisted of just one sofa and two end tables. There was no coffee table or lounge chairs to relax in. Very stark and unwelcoming.
