Super summer getaway spot

Lovely stay at this beautiful, clean and convenient condo. We had plenty of space for our family of four and everyone was quite comfortable. Rental company checked in with us and was very responsive to questions - highly recommend!

Amelia Island getaway

We had 4 wonderful days staying in this beautiful condo. It was extremely clean and well furnished. The kitchen was updated and well stocked with everything we needed! The beds were comfortable. We will definitely be back again. Also management called to check on us and were wonderful with any and all questions that I had.

Great beach vacation

Great unit for our family of five. The ground level unit made storing all of our beach gear simple, and the hose on the outside porch made cleaning off all the sand a breeze. We really loved the location next to the pool and the ease of access to the beach. Great unit. I highly recommend it.

Nice vacation

This ground level condo was perfect for our family. It was nice to be able to see the pool since our older kids liked to swim while our younger one took her nap. I preferred that over an ocean view condo considering the gaps in age of our children. We did purchase our own beach toys and boogie boards since there were none. We also rented daily chairs and umbrella even though there was a chest of chairs on the patio. The kitchen was well equipped for our needs but we did eat out for dinners. There were plenty of bath towels but do bring your own beach towels. Overall it was a clean and well decorated. We enjoyed our stay!

Excellent spot

Excellent Condo, a few steps from the pool right out the back door. A two minute walk to the beach. Well appointed kitchen, bedrooms were nice. Plenty of room for everyone in our party of six people.

Last VRBO EVER

Apparently the pictures of the unit are greatly enhanced. Units are OLD, hike to beach, a body of water right outside of unit that was nasty and I am sure a health hazard. We had to search for unit, it was downstairs and around corner. Will never use this VRBO again, the added fees are a joke, very expensive one. We could have stayed at the Ritz for this.

Good location

The condo is about 1/2 mile from the Ritz. Quiet neighborhood. Just a walk across the condo complex to the beach. Condo is in decent shape, furniture isn't really beat up. TV is very confusing to work. No restaurants are close to the location. Overall good

Underwhelmed

On the surface, it was a great condo and we had a very enjoyable stay. Everything was as advertised and the property manager was very communicative. The unit was clean and well stocked. Just a few things to be aware of that we encountered and made the PM aware. Many of the windows and the sliding door in the master bedroom did not have functioning locks - there were pieces of wood and PVC pipe wedged into the tracks to prevent entry, but we found this odd. The PM indicated they would discuss this with the Owner. Also, the washer/dryer malfunctioned when we tried using it on the last night we were there. The PM offered to have a tech come take a look, but we were leaving at 9am the next morning. Hopefully that is fixed now. Finally, likely because this unit was ground floor, it felt and smelled like we were in the basement. The furniture always felt damp and the entire unit had a musty smell. We did not bring this to the attention of the PM because any sort of attempt at remediation would likely have been tremendously intrusive to our stay. Listen, we VRBO a lot, and we are very willing to work with less-than-ideal situations like we did here, but compared to other properties at a similar price point, we were left underwhelmed.

As Described

The condo was just as described in the listing. We travel quit often and think that the mattress in the main bedroom may well be one of the most comfortable we have slept in. The management company was also a pleasure to work with.

Good location but in need of some attention

The positives of this unit are the location--not too far from downtown Fernandina but far enough for a somewhat "quieter" side of town. Access to the beach via the boardwalk was very easy. Beach was not crowded at all. I was worried about possible noise being poolside, but that was not an issue at all. Unit was clean and we had pretty much everything we needed. I did feel like the unit needed some attention/updating. Overall, I felt like it was somewhat "dated" in decor. Bedside lamp was unplugged and when I plugged it in, I found that it was intermittent in working. You had to slowly adjust/touch the on/off switch to get it in an "on" status--I would think any kind of electrical "short" would need to be addressed. Also, the master bedroom sliding door did not lock. There was a PVC pipe in the tray to keep it from opening but I would think the lock should be repaired. Lock on dining room sliding doors did work. While some may find it convenient, I felt like there were too many consumables left in the pantry from previous renters as we had trouble finding places for the items we brought. We did appreciate having a washer/dryer for use. I would probably look for a more updated and maintained property next time.

A heads up!

We stayed at the property with my 82 year old grandmother and 18 month old son. Everything was nice and clean and well kept, but it was a long walk to the beach for my grandma and a long way to carry my son and all his belongings. We were also close to the pool, which had VERY bright lights on until late at night and they shined directly into the master bedroom. So, I had to put him in the bathroom to sleep. These things would have been nice to know before booking with an infant and a senior citizen

Spacious, Comfortable, and Great Location.

We stayed at this property for 4 nights and enjoyed every minute. It was very spacious for 4 adults, 2 children, and 1 infant, and the location to the pool and beach were also great. The pool was cold unfortunately since it's the end of spring, but we enjoyed our time immensely. We also brought our dog, which was great being able to have her there as well! Highly recommend for your next family vacation.

Perfect Stay in Amelia Island

We had a terrific stay at this property in Amelia Island. The pictures and descriptions on VRBO were entirely accurate - no surprises. The location was fantastic - the beach is just a two minute walk thru the lovely, manicured lawns of the property. The pool was clean and conveniently located. We really enjoyed being able to bring our small dog with us. Being on the ground floor was a real bonus for dog walking. We were comfortable and very, very happy with this property. Would definitely return in the future.

Needs an update

Location to beach and pool were excellent. The condo itself was not. Sofa and chairs in living area had an odor, looked dirty and were just worn out. They must have sprayed them with disinfectant, because they felt damp. There was mildew in one bathroom window, cob webs and we killed two spiders. The master had no chest of drawers and had huge, strange decorative pillows that just took up too much space Also, there was construction in the above unit (inside and out) which we were not given any heads up or discount For the price and the area, we were disappointed in the condo. Would not recommend.

Had a great Christmas

We were able to successfully get five family members tested COVID-negative and travel from South Florida and South Carolina to meet at Amelia Island to spend Christmas together. We hadn't seen each other in 18 months, including our 78 y/o parents. We had a wonderful time. The property is beautiful, the condo is very nicely appointed. The kitchen is so well-equipped, we were able to cook all our meals for four days including Christmas Dinner!
