Yes, the host was helpful and accommodating. The location is AMAZING - right in the center of an active fun historical neighborhood. The roof views are breathtaking. I wish there was a seating area up there. Maybe there is in warmer weather?. The apartment was fine. The heat worked well and it was mostly quiet being in an area where the streets are filled with people all night. I would of liked some basic things like shower soap, shampoo, garbage bags, kitchen towels. The kitchen was well equipped for coffee and basic prep- we were a group of 4 adults and 3 children and the Apartment worked out very well for us.

We were a large group and rented 2 apartments with Tarkan and Julia. We were so impressed! First, the apartment is exactly as shown. Everything was charming, clean and up-to-date. Perfect for larger groups. Second, their communication was outstanding. One of the best VRBO experiences I have ever had. For example, we wanted more towels. They were delivered within a few hours. We left and item in the apartment after check out. They were in touch with us immediately. They were beyond accommodating! Third, the location and the rooftop views - wow. Everything was truly fantastic. We highly, highly, highly recommend this. We were 9 adult travellers in 2 apartments. We all had an absolute blast - thanks in no small part to these wonderful apartments and our attentive hosts: Tarkan and Julia. Thank you for introducing us to the magic, wonder, beauty and fun of Istanbul.

Overall very good stay for our family in Istanbul. The property is located right by the Galata tower with plenty local shopping and dining options. You can walk or take nearby tram many main attractions in Istanbul. Host was very prompt in commutations. The apartment has all the amenities for living. The apartment is old but well renovated with nice hamaam style touches. There may be three reason this place might not be for you: 1. The apartment and neighborhood is very old without accessibility features. The area is very hilly as well with old cobble street pavements. If you need accessibility you may want to look elsewhere. 2. The building is old and does not provide adequate noise suppression. You can hear people in the street talking from the bedroom. This is a very live area of city, however, noise mostly dies down after 11pm. If you are sensitive to noise you may want to look elsewhere. 3. The area is nice, very lively, but is part of old Istanbul. If you are looking for luxury you may want to consider elsewhere.

We really enjoyed our stay! The location is perfect and very close to most of the tourist attractions either walking or by public transportation which is easy to navigate. Plenty of restaurants, cafes, tourist shops etc. Management was always available for any questions. The place is spacious and clean. The view from the terrace upstairs is amazing!

Just outstanding in every way! Outstanding communication with the owner and manager. Even better location - step out the door, turn left, and there is the Galata Tower within selfie range! Apartment itself is beautiful and well maintained. Would definitely stay again!

Comfortable property in a great location.

The apartment is centrally located making it easy to access different parts of the city. The management was superb and very helpful. We really enjoyed the rooftop views for sunset. We would stay again!

Seeing the sights

Perfect location! Could not have asked for better hosts, the property is well appointed and the owner meet us there to answer any questions. We were also able to schedule airport transfers through them, which proved to be a life savers. The location is close to the tram which made getting to and from the sights super easy and saved a ton of time. We look forward to booking with them again

Great central location with all the necessary amenities

Our stay at Petraki 3 was wonderful, starting with Taşkın greeting us at the apartment, thru our whole stay. Very responsive and answered our questions on places to go that were more local. Amazing location!

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour dans cette appartement tarkan est un très bon hôte toujours à l'écoute et disponible. L'appartement est très bien propre, aménagement parfait. Seule point négatif il est au premier étage sans double vitrage donc nous avions l'impression de dormir dans la rue temps le bruit est fort. SOPHIE ET OLIVIER

A wonderful stay

This is a really charming property, full of character in a brilliant location. Very easy to visit all the sites either by walking or on public transport. There are loads of cafes and restaurants all within walking distance. There’s an excellent artisan bakery just a few steps away which sells the most delicious pistachio bread - a must! The views from the terrace are absolutely stunning. It is a lively area but this just adds to its charm. I would recommend taking advantage of the taxi service from the airport. Tarkan was at the apartment to welcome us and was really very helpful throughout our stay. I highly recommend a visit.

Amazing location & rooftop view

Pros: -Steps from Galata tower -Walkable to great restaurants, cafes and shopping -Plenty of well-equipped space, high ceilings and large Turkish-style marble bathroom -Beautiful panoramic view of the city from the rooftop -Great communication and assistance from Team Istanbul Cons: -Common space in building not well maintained or clean, especially the rooftop and outdoor furniture on the rooftop -Air conditioning units in bedrooms only, not central -No clothes dryer Overall the location and space make it a good value for families and groups. Would certainly return.

Pleasant and comfortable

Perfect home base for exploring Istanbul

Tarkan and Julia, our hosts, have thought of everything to make this apartment comfortable for our group of 6. We used the airport transport service--first class experience and convenient, highly recommend. Tarkan greeted us for a brief orientation to the warm and cozy apartment located just next to the Galata Tower. The view from the rooftop terrace gave us a panoramic 360 view of Istanbul. The Galata neighborhood was quaint, with lots of cafes and shops. A short 10 minute walk across the Galata bridge brought us to all the magnificent history of Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, Roman Hippodrome, Basilica Cistern and Grand Bazaar. Also, there we caught the Bosphorus River Boat Tour, and then disembarked on the Asian side to explore those neighborhoods. We were very happy with our choice in the Galata neighborhood -- the apartment is centrally located to all the amazing sites, sounds and tastes of Istanbul, fully equipped kitchen, dishwasher, washing machine, comfortable beds, and responsive hosts. Der perfekte „Place to be“ in Istanbul

Wir hatten eine grandiose Zeit in Istanbul. Das Apartment hat die perfekte Lage, um sich selbst mit ein paar wenigen Tagen Aufenthalt sämtliche Ecken der Stadt anzuschauen. Mit einem Kaffee auf der gigantischen Dachterrasse mit dem Blick über ganz Istanbul kann der Tag nicht besser beginnen!

Situated in one of the most vibrant spots in the city, this apartment, met and exceeded our expectations. Along with the location and livability of the apartment, the communications with the owner and apartment manager were the best we’ve ever experienced on Vrbo. Five adults spending four days in Istanbul couldn’t have been happier with the residence we rented.

Amazing experience

Excellent location. Very responsive to any question. Beautiful old property with wonderful amenities. We were on the first floor which was nice since we only had to carry our luggage up one level, however, since we were on the first floor the street noise was a bit loud in the evenings — but the street does not have cars, so once the shops closed, it quieted down. We also arranged several tours through Istanbul Place — we enjoyed each one immensely. Excellent all around! Hope we can come visit again.

My experience was absolutely amazing! Beautiful apartment in the heart of the city. Walking distance to attractions, shops, and restaurants. Host team have been very welcoming and accommodating. I really hope next time I’m visiting Istanbul, this property is available.
