We are not strangers to the area, and get down here at least once a year.
We usually stay at Folly Beach, so first time at Isle of Palms. These condos are a little worn around the edges, but very functional. We had a 3rd floor condo in the Northeast wing, so the view of the beach was nice. But, the bedroom was weird, very small. The double bed took up the entire length of the room and you had to access each side from different doors. If you were straightening the bed covers, you had to do one side, then go out the door and go in the other door to do the other side. VRBO won't let me say which condo it was, so make sure you check the pictures carefully if this is an issue.
Otherwise, it was fine for two people. Kitchen was well equipped, except no wine opener. Good view of the beach and ocean and very close to the beach and pier access points. Good parking. Also a good location, close to the IOP causeway. If you cycle, bring bikes to ride the beach from mid low tide to mid high tide. Really compact so most bikes other than skinny-tire road bikes will work. Overall, it was a nice stay.
