We had the loveliest stay! My kids were home from college and the four of us had the best week hanging out on the porch, watching the stars from the hot tub, and spending many days walking and enjoying the beach. This house was perfect for all of this. I would recommend her home completely!

Another great beach vacation on IOP! The cottage is so cute and comfortable. The screened front porch is the best. Short walk to the beach. Convenient to shops and restaurants. Marilyn is friendly and responsive. 5-Stars!!

Beach was close, outside shower was convenient, having laundry facility was nice, having access to a pool and a hot tub was great for the kids. Overall, really great experience.

Price was reasonable. Cute exterior. Great location. Porch is chill. Fridge is spacious and very cute. Hot tub was nice. Pool had low water and on adjacent property, so we didn’t use it. It should be disclosed that there is a first floor apartment. It was accessed by a male who did landscaping while myself and my children were there. I reached out to the host at that time and got no response. The deadbolt on main door is very difficult to lock. Shower inside bathroom needs better cleaning. Washing machine was unusable as it was very moldy and had a strong musty smell, so had to do our washing elsewhere. Host stated they were sorry and would have it serviced. Also, listing states “dog friendly”, but there are about 1k glass ornamental figurines and empty wine bottles everywhere you look. Thankfully we left our pup behind for this trip and my children are no longer small.

Throughly enjoyed our week at the beach. Loved the cottage and it was convenient to everything we wanted. Easy walk to beach. The porch was perfect for naps on the hammock.

Adorable cottage with an eclectic design. Front porch is wonderful to sit in and enjoy the sound of the ocean. The yard is cozy with a hot tub that was ready to use. Very quiet area.

I liked the location and parking was perfect. It was truly a pet friendly home. Beach access was very convenient, a short walk away. Looking forward to staying here again in the near future. Enjoyed using the outdoor shower to keep the sand outside.

We had a great time here. It’s a block off the beach in a quiet area. Screened porch was our favorite. Beds were comfortable. Owner was very responsive and great to work with. Location on Isle of Palm was fantastic—about 25 minutes to downtown Charleston and only 10 minutes to Mount Pleasant. We look forward to coming back!

This is a quintessential beach cottage. The proximity to the beach is great - about a 5 minute walk. The decor is fun - so many things to look at and discover the owner’s travels and family. We enjoyed the hot tub and the fenced back yard was great for our dogs. Checking in and out was a breeze.

Well appointed with all the cooking and dining accessories you’d ever need for a memorable stay. Close walk to the beach; the porch hammock is a must to use when chilling or for overall relaxing! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to vacationing here again in the near future!

About an hour before check in we got a message from the host that there was damage from the week before the Tropical Storm. When we arrived, there was an 8-foot hole in the ceiling with a tarp over it in the bedroom- they had to turn the air off because of the leak, and it was over 80 in the room most of the weekend. I would have preferred knowing this ahead of time so we could have tried to make other arrangements, but since it was last minute, there was nothing else available. In addition, the bath and a half is misleading- the half bath is really just an outdoor shower down by the hot tub. After a few very hot days we decided to use the pool we have access to next door- it was beyond filthy- we could not even get in the pool. If I was able I would post pictures here- when I have shown friends they can't believe we actually stayed.

We really enjoyed our stay, Marilyn made us feel at home and checked to make sure everything was fine upon arrival. My wife and I stayed with our two dogs and the neighborhood and surrounding area is dog friendly. The house has a swimming pool and two screened in porches which we enjoyed and the location is great. Th e neighborhood is quiet and everyone friendly. The house is less than 5 minute walk to the beach and a short drive to Sullivans Island and Charlestown. We would definitely stay there again.

We've been coming to IOP since 2020 and this is the 4th year staying at Marilyn's property! This was the first year staying during 4th of July and it was so fun. Her house is so clean when you step in, and smells amazing. It has everything you need and more. The location is walkable to the beach and a quick drive to Sullivan's and Charleston. My daughter loves relaxing on the hammock on the porch. We usually use the pool a lot but my 2 year was all about the beach this year so I got to swim in the pool for a bit the one day and the water was so refreshing and talked the family that lives in the house where the pool is and the husband and wife were very nice. We're always looking forward to our IOP trip and staying at Marilyn's place!
