"This backpackers was a great budget-friendly find—close to other resorts and right near a beachside club with a fun live band most nights. "The views are incredible, but the manager is not friendly, the bed sheets and towels were dirty, the kayaks they offer do not exist (they have one and it is very damaged), it is not a good place to bathe or snorkel. In general, the pool furniture is neglected and in poor condition. The dinners were very good. If your idea is to relax in a hammock all day, this is your place."

"This place was very disappointing. It has the air of a place going out of business. The staff didn't seem to care about the condition of it, and there was a charge for absolutely everything. For a surf camp it was surprising that there was no beach or area to surf by the property. They also didn't seem to be keen to teach surfing it's only for established surfers, which then have to pay $50 a day to surf. The property itself was the biggest let down. "We stayed at the Travellers Beach Resort Hostel for two nights in early March. Our stay was very enjoyable and met people from all over the world. The room was comfortable and clean and the staff was very friendly. Improvements and updates could be be made, but we would recommend it when in Fiji."
