Yellowstone family trip

House location was great for the 9 of us. pleasant of room and everything you needChris and Sonia thought of everything somebody would need with plenty of information of the area to visit. Would definitely stay there again.

This house is amazing!! It far exceeded our expectations! The location is perfect. Many wild animals spotted every day. Our family of eight were very comfortable. The hot tub is well maintained and was great way to end a long day in Yellowstone park. I can’t say enough nice things about this house and it was SO much cheaper than staying five days in a hotel in West Yellowstone. Our host was wonderfully responsive to all my questions. It was a vacation of a lifetime for my family!

Great stay just outside Yellowstone Nat. Park

We had a group of 8 adults. The size and amenities of the property met all of our needs. Its location outside West Yellowstone, near Island Park provided easy access for our visits to Yellowstone National Park.

Exactly what we wanted in a house

The house was around 10 minutes to West Yellowstone and just across the Idaho border. We loved everything about it. Having a home cooked meal was great, the video selections were nice, and it was well stocked.

Island Park

Your rental is very large and spacious. It was clean and the beds were comfortable. We enjoyed using the hot tub and sitting on the covered porch. It’s in a rural country subdivision, but a short drive to West Yellowstone.

Perfect for extended family

My dad celebrated his 79th birthday by bringing the whole family together for a trip to Yellowstone. We were 11 people and found the space heavenly! Plenty of bedrooms and we could split up when we needed breathing space :) The kitchen is huge so we had plenty of space to prepare family meals. There’s a dining table that will seat 12 if you bring in chairs from the breakfast nook (which was perfect for breakfast as we had some later risers). It’s an easy drive to the National Park and I recommend packing lunches. We used the provided coolers every day! Pack your own refreezable ice blocks. We saw mule deer and chipmunks on the property during our stay. We used the hot tub and barbecue during our stay too. I hope more families find respite here!

Evidence of rodent activity and spiders.

Arrived early afternoon and before going to bed found evidence of mouse droppings and many spiders in the lower level bedroom. Contacted manager. He said he would send someone out the next day to assess. We had a full house, 4 families and 4 children under the age of 4 for a total of 11. We moved everything out of the lower level up to the main level leaving us short on beds/rooms. After much discussion we did not feel this situation could be remedied as we felt the carpet would need to be cleaned and the building fumigated. With young children, we were very concerned about their health. Unfortunately during the night there was mouse activity on the main floor too. We checked out early the next day with a new focus of trying to find a new lodging to house all of us. Because of the size of our group, we were not successful which in turn ended our vacation as an extended family. Manager but was very unprofessional and downright rude.I was told I was a disgrace for coming to a national forest land and complaining about spiders and wildlife. I was told to go stay in LA or Vegas among other not so nice comments. We booked two nights and we were willing to pay for one but requested a refund for the night we didn’t stay. He has refused. VRBO is of no help taking care of this situation because apparently there is a 24 hour window for complaints which we did not meet. Unfortunately not a good experience.

Everyone had a wonderful stay. It was spacious, clean, very close to Yellowstone, and well stocked. Use of the garage was very convenient. We even saw a bear just off the driveway one morning.

Great place to stay!

We were very happy with our stay! There were 10 adults in our party and this location was perfect for us. There was plenty of space so we weren't on top of each other. The hosts were responsive for questions! The location was great for using the West Entrance as well. This place was home for a week, perfect!

Annual family trip

Nice Place for a getaway

Best A1r_6n6/Vr60 ever. The house is nice and spacious with 2 bedrooms in the basement, 3 in the main floor, and another one with fantastic view upstairs. The kitchen was well stocked and had all the amenities one would expect. All the bathrooms have individual heaters and the fireplaces are tied in with thermostats. Lastly, the checkout process is nice and super easy and didn't require us to go through a giant checklist. If I have to pick a fault, the washer could do with a couple cycles with some cleaning tablets.

Beautiful getaway in the mountains

Perfect place to stay and visit Yellowstone

The house was very comfortable! We were able to spread our nicely. It’s an older home but well taken care of. The owners left tons of information on what to do. We spent 1 day in Harriman Park, 3 solid days in Yellowstone and one floating down the river. We are two meals at the house and the rest in different restaurants. The views from the upstairs king are simply amazing!

Island Park

Our family thoroughly enjoyed staying at your home. The space was ideal with room to be together or apart. The hot tub was a great addition. The kitchen was more than well stocked. If we had the opportunity to be in that area, we would certainly try to stay there!!! The deer were also fun to watch! Wish we had longer!

We stayed as a family of 10 adults and one infant in the home for 2 nights. Wish we had more time!! The home was so beautiful with many nice touches. We were able to spread out, but also still be so close to one another. Loved the two living rooms and large kitchen. One evening we had a group of about 10 mule deer outside the porch. We are wanting to come back!

Great Spot Huge House

We had a great time! The house was awesome! Tons of room and a very well stocked kitchen. The hot tub might be a few degrees hotter than it says, so 100 was just about right. We would definitely book it again. Thank you!

Last minute booking to ring in 2022

We were a large group who decided on a whim to celebrate the New Year with snowmobiling! We booked this property a week before. There were very few choices left from Bozeman to Island Park. We managed to find snowmobiles in Big Sky (don't wait until the last minute for that adventure) then started looking for a place to stay. This place had everything we needed. Easy access off highway, not far from West Yellowstone, a hot tub and lots and lots of space. Great communication with the host. Take their suggestions and run with them! Thanks for helping us out Chris and family.

Charming spacious and well located

The cabin is large very clean and in great shape. It was well stocked as far as cooking supplies, spices, towels xcetera. Plenty of great parking space really nice bedding we had tons of room for our various family guests. The hot tub was great. We will definitely rent again when we are in the area. I like how large the cabin was so people could spread out there was tons of places to sleep for our large family and I like the location as the whole place was mostly surrounded by trees.
