Great visit!
The Irvine’s are great hosts, and we had a wonderful week. This house is a great location for boaters, with easy access to both the gulf and Atlantic. We will look forward to another stay.

Meeting Islamorada and the Keys.
This was our first trip to the Keys and the Irvine's great canal house is right in the middle of everything! As the many other reviews stated, the house was bright & clean and ready for an active family. We didn't see any manatees in the canal which made my duaghter sad-- and we realized too late that having our own boat would have been a good idea.... But Chris is an excellent 'host', was super accommodating, full of good local hints & knowledge and a good Embassador for his world.

Great Vacation Rental
We just returned from staying at this property for 2 weeks and I give it 5 stars! This home is not large, but layed out well and never felt small to us.(Great use of the square footage) It is very clean, beds are comfortable, tv’s and internet work great, space under house is wonderful, yard area is nicely maintained with plenty of chairs to relax. Boat dock area is nice with water hose & fish cleaning station. It was great that we could bring our dog, he loved it too. (You will need to bring a cable or keep your dog on a leash as yard is not fenced in) The kitchen has to be the best stocked kitchen I’ve ever seen at a vacation rental. I was impressed by how much the owner has provided. I wish we had a hot tub since no pool, but with our boat, we kept busy. Chris, the owner, was wonderful in communicating with us and answering all of the questions I had on where to eat, where to launch the boat, etc. He responds very quickly when you have any questions. I would recommend this home when traveling to Islamorada.

Perfect keys house
We stayed for a week for fishing and diving. The house was perfect for our needs. We had ample space for our 32 center console including space for our trailer and 2-3 vehicles. The house is close to the end of the canal so boat traffic was minimal. Communication with Chris was great. We had an issue with the ac when we woke up we made contact at 6am and he had the Ac back up and running in just a few hours. We would stay again and recommend to others.

Perfect Home to Enjoy the Sport-Fishing Capital of the World!!
This canal front home was exactly as described - Fresh, Clean, and Relaxing! The kitchen and outdoor grill provided all the essentials for cooking our fresh catches. The updated appliances worked perfectly. The home was very clean with updated bedding and decor. The outside was nicely landscaped. The home was pet friendly which was necessary for us. This home is the perfect set up for visitors bringing their own boat. We were able to store the boat trailer at the home. The additional downstairs storage room contained a deep freezer for bait and ice… an added bonus for the fishermen! The docking area easily accommodated the boat, the fresh water access at the dock made cleaning up easy, and the fish cleaning station was perfect. The short commute down the canal provided convenient access to the Atlantic for snorkeling and fishing adventures. Alligator Reef is within view and provided an opportunity to view fish and sea turtles in their natural habitat. Mahi Mahi, Yellow Tail Snapper, Red Grouper, and Mutton were the greatest catches on the Atlantic side. Our daughter had an amazing time fly fishing the Everglades with Nate from More than a Little Charters out of Bud and Mary’s. The home is super convenient to bait and fuel by water. By land, you are convenient to Publix, Bass Pro, Robbie’s and great restaurants! Manatees were regulars during rain showers! They love to drink the fresh water draining from the sea walls! Chris is an excellent host! Can’t wait to book again!

Can’t wait to come back
Fantastic stay. We come down to the keys once a year in June for a week every year and this was the perfect spot. Super clean and updated. Everything you need to cook anything in the kitchen. Great water access to the ocean or the bay right around the corner. We kayaks and paddle boards down to the end of the canal every night at sunset. Communication was fantastic. Very responsive. No negative comments whatsoever. Will definitely stay here again.

Not bad, not great
I would say this place is just okay. Configuration is very strange with the lower bedroom not internally connected to the upper floor main living area...you access it from a separate entrance with separate key outside next to parking. Two of the bathrooms (which are not pictured in the listing) are horribly configured and very inconvenient. Couch and chair in main living area are incredibly dirty and disgusting...it's like 25 years of accumulated filth. Bedspreads were stained which is not acceptable. Upsides...the location is good and the communication with the owner was fine. Not sure we would stay here again, however.

Great time
This is a nice VRBO property in a good location if you’re bringing your boat. However parking the boat trailer was a bit of a challenge from the street but we figured it out. The house was clean and well supplied with the basic essentials. Chris was very responsive to all of our questions and any issues that presented.

House was mostly clean, but not even a hand soap was provided! All furnishings look like they came from a thrift store! Canal was nasty and cut to get out of canal to ocean was narrow, shallow and rocky! For the price not horrible but owner: hang some fans, update furniture, provide a hand soap in bathroom- hell our cleaning crew provides them every cleaning!!

Perfect location and comfortable!
We loved this house and location. It was more than comfortable for relaxing and quiet time, as well as, BBQing for a couple of our fishing pals that joined us two evenings for happy hour/dinner. The house was very clean and well stocked for our stay. I would like to hopefully address a previous comment about fleas...there are no fleas in the house! This is south FL and "noseeums...biting flies" are very common outside near mangroves/water/sand and yes there are noseeums outside and if mosquitos like you, noseeums will too! You must be prepared with deet repellent and put it on if you are outside early morning and later afternoon/dusk. I love to sit outside and read and the yard of this house was a great spot, but I was prepared and fogged the area I sat in AND applied repellent. Great house to rent for 6 people! The separate bed/bath on lower level would be great for teens or a couple that want more privacy.

Great property,!
We were so happy to have discovered this wonderful property. The house was well-appointed and well-maintained. We spend a lot of time lazing in the comfortable Adirondack chairs overlooking the canal and were pleased that the kitchen was so well equipped that we were able to cook several meals "at home." Chris was so helpful in making sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay.

We have no pets and the house has fleas and bugs. lots of neighbors with parking dogs, canal low.
Many Floor tiles damaged and need of repair, canal very low for a new boat, driveway floods, laundry area downstairs not accessible from inside house, fleas, master bedroom pillows need replacement. Needs new furniture.

Perfect house on ocean side with channel
We stayed for 1 week and the house is perfect! Open floor plan, lots of windows for natural light, great view of the channel. Just outside the channel the water opens up and just beautiful. Manatee hung out with us daily in the channel and we just sat outside in the nice outside patio furniture. Chris was super informative and responsive. Will definitely stay again

Property needs some TLC, dated and worn. All appliances working properly and kitchen equipped for home cooking. House was bright & airy. AC, washer dryer worked well. Canal behind house was tight & had piles of debris during tides, could not swim or snorkel in the water. Sofa was full of dog hair and stained.

Perfect Spot
We thoroughly enjoyed our two weeks! The house was just as advertised, very comfortable! Nothing fancy, perfect keys house! Close enough to our favorite Islamorada restaurants but just far enough away to be out of the traffic. We brought our boat and loved the easy access to channel 2 and 5 bridges! The kitchen had everything we needed too. Great stay!

A Little Piece of Paradise
We loved the house. It was a nice location on a lagoon. Close to Robbies which is one of our favorite places to eat. Conveniently located to all restaurants and stores. The extra room downstairs was perfect for my 22 year old son. Had everything we needed for our vacation. Chris was wonderful, easy to talk to and always answered quickly to any questions we had. Would highly recommend.

Everything we wanted and more!!
We enjoyed our stay at this property. It was very clean and comfortable. The kitchen had all the gadgets and pans we needed to make our evening meals and even bake cookies. The upstairs with the windows gave us a nice view of the canal and palm trees as well as giving us natural lighting. Truly like a breath of fresh air. The downstairs bedroom was almost like a seperate house......really private. We went down for a fishing trip, so being able to dock the boat right at the house was such a plus. Very easy ocean access from the house- literally minutes away. We also enjoyed using the fish cleaning station right at the dock and the bait freezer downstairs. Thanks again Chris for sharing your place with us. Beautiful memories were made.

Islamorada Vacation
The location is great and in general close to everything you may want or need. Canal front and ocean/bay access is perfect for all water activities. One thing I must recommend is a thorough cleaning/interior paint and upgrade to the furniture, both very dirty and worn.

Great quiet spot!
We had a blast here in December 2020! The house is located on a quiet street with few neighbors (houses only on one side of street). Plenty of dock room for our boat, and loved the outdoor seating downstairs. Thoughtfully furnished and decorated with local keys decor, this was the perfect rental for a week of fishing and lobstering. My daughter caught her first lobster here, and we enjoyed some well-needed down time. The lockable storage downstairs was perfect for our fishing and diving gear, and the setup was perfect to accommodate our friend in the 3rd bedroom. Chris, was the consummate professional and gracious host. He fielded our (too many) inquiries rapidly and thoroughly, and made himself accessible and available at all times. We’ll be back Chris! Thanks for hosting our memorable trip!

Great Vacation!
We really enjoyed our stay - Chris was great to work with and the house was perfect for our group. We had plenty of space, and the covered parking was a nice bonus. We kept the boat right in the canal, which was very convenient. We are planning to return next year and are already looking forward to it!

Great stay for me the wife and our two Boston Terriers. We have rented Chris’s place in the past and it was all that we remembered. I brought the boat and the slip is perfect! Fish cleaning station was awesome and heavily used!!

Clean well equipped home
Clean home, that is well equipped for a small family. The extra two twin beds are downstairs with a separate entrance- likely more appropriate for older children. Main house sleeps 4 comfortably. Kitchen well equipped, and I have to emphasize this house was clean! We arrived after check in time and the cleaning lady was still there. So we had to wait a bit to go in. Hence the 4 stars on check in process. However, the house is very clean, For this home to be a pet friendly rental- you didn’t feel like you were vacationing with other people’s pets. The canal provides narrow but well located ocean access to Alligator Reef, and other local snorkel spots.

Excellent House and Location!!
The house and property surpassed our expectations. My family and I stayed here for 2 weeks, 11/30/2019-12/14/2019 and we had the most relaxing and fun-filled vacation. I was able to dock my 27' center console boat in the canal adjoining the house, which the master bedroom overlooks. There is plenty of room to park your boat trailer, a full size diesel truck and SUV on the property with no problem. The lower level storage room includes a very nice washer and dryer and a midsize chest freezer. This was great for storing ice for fishing trips. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything to cook a large family meal or just make frozen cocktails to enjoy the serenity of the place. The owner, Chris, is very responsive and was great to work with. My only wish was that our 2 week vacation was for 2 months....We will stay here again around June 2020.

A nice place
The property is perfect for one couple with children or individuals. Not as conducive for two couples. We knew the second bedroom had twin beds but did not realize the second bathroom was off the living room. This meant that we had to parade through the LR to get to the bathroom. The owner was great with communication and the location was great, especially if you have a boat. The property was clean and well furnished. We didn't use the downstairs but noticed a musty odor there. There were NO odors upstairs. Lastly, the HVAC system cools unevenly. The second bedroom is really cold. All in all, a good week and a positive experience.

2019 Keys trip
Lovely property in a convenient location. House was very clean and very well maintained. Kitchen was well equipped and had everything we needed. There is a chest freezer downstairs which was a nice addition to keep ice packs cold for going out on boat trips for the day. Very much enjoyed our stay here.
