"The ground floor room was fine, with easy access to the parking area. The shower room was very clean and modern; the bedding was immaculate on a comfortable bed; it was a shame the carpet hadn't been vacuumed. We would have liked a small fridge and a second opening window as the weather was exceedingly hot, but we appreciated the air conditioning. Maldon is a beautiful village, with little shops and restaurants just around the corner, I would also highly recommend Mrs Salisburys for food & service too which is just around the corner on the high street. Parking is also available. "

"I stayed here for work purposes being a short 20 minute commute to Grt Baddow. My work colleague and I were made very welcome. The place was spotlessly clean. Had a lovely bar downstairs for drinks and pub snacks and did a fantastic breakfast in the morning.. I would recommend the full English although there were alternatives, all in all I had a very good stay. I would definitely return to the Oakland if I was working in the area.."
