"We loved this property! The only downside was the bugs. We were so busy at the park in our two days there that we didn't really have much time to enjoy the outdoors at the property. But it was just as well since it was buggy."

"Great location on MDI. Easy to get to EVERYTHING and very little traffic. If you are looking for low key, cleanliness and a welcoming deer everyday, this is the place to stay. Definitely would stay again. Everything has been updated...could use a couple of rugs to soak up the sound while talking or watching TV. Can't beat the location!"

"The home was charming and cozy and the view was amazing. The pictures don’t do it justice. It is secluded and peaceful where the house is located and a great spot to come back after a busy day of hiking and exploring with our kids. The walk down to the private cove was really neat and the kids enjoyed exploring down by the water. We had a great time and the host was prompt with any concerns. Would stay again! "

"This house is in a great location & made a fantastic home base for us rusticators. We accessed the whole island easily, including bicycling the Acadia carriage roads, hiking Cadillac Mountain, shopping in SW & NE Harbor, walking to Bar Island, sand dollar hunting at Seal Harbor Beach, dining in Bar Harbor and an evening sail on the Margaret Todd. Handy maps & guides helped with planning our activities. Loved gatherings in the well-stocked kitchen which easily supported baking scones, prepping...

"I have always wanted to visit this part of the US and it was everything that I hoped it would be. This property has been thoughtfully and lovingly decorated and stocked with everything you would need. Communication with the owner was quick and appreciated. If you are seeking to stay outside of the touristy Bar Harbor yet close to all options, this location is perfect. "

"The property is better that what is depicted in the photos. It had everything we needed, and many things that were unexpected surprises. The hot tub was clean and warm, so need to wait. The unit ACs worked efficiently, but if they are all turned off on a hot day, the house gets pretty warm. We learned the hard way because we stayed during a major heat wave. The kitchen was clean and spacious, and even had a oyster shucking knife...which was perfect because Bar Harbor Oyster Company is only a few...

"This rental spot is close to everything! You can walk to most trails, town and great restaurants! The house was clean and fully stocked, we wanted for nothing! Desiree and Jeremiah were fabulous hosts, checking in to make sure we had everything we needed. Can’t wait to return!"

"This property was comfortable and clean with everything you need for a restful retreat from the business of Acadia and Bar Harbor. Very convenient for Bass Harbor Lighthouse. We loved being away from the crowds and chaos of Bar Harbor. I highly recommend staying here!Would recommend dinner at nearby Peter Trouts. Lots of locals there. Coffee and bagels and Milagro was also a treat.Only suggestion I have is adding a mattress topper to the master bed."
