"We stayed a long weekend at Mandalay Beach House. The location was excellent, it truly sits on the sand of the beach. There was plenty of room for our large party to stay and enjoy ourselves.The house itself is a bit older, but it is clean and welcoming. Overall we enjoyed our stay. The property owner/manager was quick to respond and was very helpful. "

"Booked this listing, all seemed well. No contact from the property owner, but assumed they’d reach out as we got closer to the trip. The day of check-in, I still had not heard from the owner. I called the number on the VRBO listing and it was clearly a burner phone. Had no way of accessing the property with lack of response. Had to scramble and find new accommodations last minute. I’ve never had such a horrible experience."

"Great day, great location! Very nice place that was very clean and well appointed."

"Property is nice, Unfortunately the property is a little dated and the cleaning crew that they have working for them is below subpar. The showers were moldy, the property was picked up but not clean. Hard to sleep in the Master bedroom with all the lights of the harbor and the park. It really has a Great view and located next to a nice family and pet friendly park. In all fairness, we would stay there again but it would be nice for it to be better kept up and cleaned. Host was nice and...

"Overall experience was absolutely great....It's and older house ..so not a lot of Modern amenities. But it was spacious..beautiful and Clean. Kitchen lights flicker a lil bit at times...But its an amazing house...I would definitely choose this house again."

"This is our 7 or 8 time at Ellen’s Beautiful Beach house and I can’t say enough about the house and Ellen’s response if you need anything during your stay. To be able to watch the grandkids surf and play in the ocean while we enjoy sitting in the glorious bedroom suite is my highlight. The grandchildren always ask me to book again before we even leave. We will be back."

"We were quite comfortable and really enjoyed the use of the kitchen. We had a little trouble navigating the TV but watched what we could find. The condo has a lot of light, more than those who live outside a city were used to. We were unable to arrive as planned and checked in the next day, however our host extended our check out time which gave us a chance to explore our surroundings. The host was wonderfully helpful and made our stay enjoyable."

"Everything was ok except the front yard it seemed like they haven’t done the front yard in close to 8 months. Also, the house was extremely cold all night. No curtain in the master bedroom shower. "

"Wonderful stay! Enjoyed our time here!!! Very clean, with everything we need! "

"First off, the location is just great, steps away from the beach. The house has convenient ingress/egress to the beach and has amenities for those who want to use - chairs, etc. The reason for 3 star vs 5 star is: 1) Cleanliness: The house was not sufficiently clean at check-in. The bathroom and kitchen needed attention, we had to do it ourselves. Dishes were dirty and the bathroom (toilet & tub) were not sufficiently clean. Two of the three sofas were very dusty and led to most of the folks...

"The place has been remodeled and is beautiful, The spa is great it's just such nice place to feel the beach scene. The magnificent bathroom was amazing. After my wife took a shower she said "That was the best shower ever, my hair is so clean" The owner was great, can't say enough what a treasure it is. "
