  • This is a great getaway, centrally located between 3 cities...Wichita, Hutchinson, and Newton. We are only 15 minutes from each! This is a better experience than a hotel. It is private and you can connect with nature. Enjoy the lakes, fire pit and patio. Those who stay are welcome to throw a fishing line into our sandpits!

    PLEASE NOTE- This is a remote & awesome fishing cabin. Guests must bring towels, toiletries, and bedding! Also, this is the only home on the 35 acre property. However, we do have family and friends that access it on occasion for fishing. You may see one or two people fishing during your stay, but they’re a friendly group and should stay out of your space.

    Firearms and ATVs are strictly prohibited.

Sweet Spot

This is a wonderful little gem hidden back in the woods. Beautiful water areas and a nice little rustic cabin and pavilion. If you need a little getaway that is close to many other places this is perfect.

We had a really wonderful stay at Iron Horse Lakes cabin. The landscape was very peaceful and beautiful. I feel that the people who designed, built and decorated it put alot of thought into it because it had that cabin feel but had really beautiful touches. The light fixtures and lighting was really pretty. Brad was very easy to communicate with and told us everything we needed to know. I would love to stay again.

great place to stay and get away off the beaten path but not far from town. the owners are very friendly and cover ensuring when they talk with you. couldn't have asked for better place or owners

Amazing getaway

Overall was a very great experience and the day we were supposed to be staying it was supposed to storm and we’d asked if there was a shelter, and he said there wasn’t so he said he could change the date for us or refund us and we chose to stay a different night and he was very helpful and very understanding 10 out of 10 experience will be coming again

Amazing place!

Me and my wife had a great time here! Just far enough away from city life, while also being able to get wherever you need in a short time. There was a lot of thought and hard work put into the place and it shows! Wonderful place, we will definitely be back!

Weekend Getaway

The cabin property was very remote and just what we needed to get away. Great place for walking and exploring around the lakes. Bathroom was not connected to the cabin but was very modern and nice. The only issue was there was a decorative fish hanging on the outside of the house that banged in the wind at night. We would stay again

second stay here - enjoyed it both times. tranquil location about 40min outside wichita. great place to enjoy the company of friends around a warm fire. scenic setting with a small pond.

Thanksgiving Get A Way

Husband and I had some time off, so we decided to go try out the Iron Horse Lakes. Host was awesome! Can't wait to do this again.

Peaceful, easy to find, caught a few fish.

Overall stay was good. The small AC unit couldn’t keep up with the 90 plus degree temperature, so it was a uncomfortable night of sleep.. Next time we will choose a different time of year.
