There is a lovely little hiking trail just down the hill from the house and Harper's Ferry is not far and has countless outdoor activities- (including a brand new bungee jumping site) and lots of great place to eat.The River Country Store is even closer and is a great little stop to pick up food basics and gifts. "The host did not respond to messages before we checked in. At check-in the backdoor to the house was unlocked and opened. When we got into the house, there was rotten and expired food in the fridge, stuff all over the counters, dirty dishes in the sink and dishwasher, dirty laundry in the washer and on top, and there was no heat. There were space heaters placed throughout the house, which was a total safety liability. We reached out to the host with our concerns and we never got a response. I...
