Everything was great! Communication with host, hot tub, dome, and sauna were great my only complaint would be that the bedding was not clean when we arrived and had dog hair on the sweets and comforters, so we had to wash the bedding ourselves. But awesome location and great amenities

The fireplace was warm and cozy. We thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub and sauna during the freezing cold and snowy weather.

Everything was really wonderful! The host is very reaponsive to any and all questions and was quite friendly. It was a beautiful place to enjoy the peace and solitude offered but also close enough to visit the local attractions. The lighthouse and pier in Frankfort are worth the short drive to view with the snow and ice formations. There are several running streams and rivers that offer magical winter pictures not far from this location. The dome is heated and overlooks a cute little frozen lake, but it was not great for star gazing due to frost. The gps also does not take you directly to the driveway to the house and is drive out is up a steep inclined exit that was covered in ice. I could not get out using that exit due to the ice. Overall, I highly recommend this cute little getaway!

Lovely property for our Interlochen/Traverse visit! The house is clean and well -kept with a nice kitchen area. Grill, hot tub, fire pit, dome, and water views made it feel like a private getaway.

The house was very clean. The sauna and hot tub were great, the dome is cool! Literally hanging out in the swamp/pomd! The hosts have made great use of every inch of this space, a cool find.

Incredible property

The listing does not do the property justice. Had an incredible time. The lake and dock area are beautiful. The smokeless fire ring and hot tub were great for unwinding. Close to everything you need. Will be back!

Much needed vacation

My fiancé and I haven’t been on a vacation in over a year because I broke my wrist and ankle last May so there went last year. When he asked me what I wanted to do, I said I just want to relax. I told him what I would like, and everything that I wanted was part of the amenities. It was perfect. It was everything that I wanted it to be. We were even able to take both of our German Shepherds and they loved it as well. My fiancé was able to fish and caught some and decompress too. Check in instructions were easy and perfect. Great host and great property. We will definitely stay there again if we get up that way again and it’s available.

Great Visit

One of the best VRBOs my family has stayed at. Comfortable beds, good shower, very nice clean hot tub and the igloo was a very cool feature. Experienced weather from 82 to 38 during our weekend and were able to stay both cool and warm and comfortable. Nice private drive. Excellent fishing and the manager came to pump out the boat when it rained without me even having to ask. Enjoyed the sack toss left for us and a nice fire. Nice yard for my dog as well. Great stay!

Quaint little cabin

We had the most amazing stay at this cozy little cabin in the woods! From the moment we arrived, we felt completely at peace. The cabin was exactly what we were hoping for: clean, well-equipped, and full of charm.The hot tub was a huge highlight. Even though we had a lot of snowfall before our arrival, we were able to easily step out the sliding door right to the hot tub. The small gazebo down down on the dock by the lake was very charming and the perfect place to watch the sunset. Temperatures were quite cold, but there are heaters, blankets and comfy seating.The location was perfect. So close to Traverse City and all it has to offer.The host was super responsive when we had questions.If you're looking for a quiet retreat to relax and recharge, this is it. Highly recommend!

Great little cabin! Very clean, updated, cozy hot tub, nice dome to sit and relax down by the pond. Would definitely recommend for a family, couple of friends. Close to many golf courses and places to eat. TC is only 15 minutes away

Perfect location for a peaceful weekend

We celebrated a 50th birthday at this perfect property that met our need for relaxation yet close to activities and dining. The Lochen House provided everything needed and then some with a hot tub, fireplace and the coolest igloo over the water. Thank you for being a fabulous host, Jeff!

Birthday celebration stay

My family(4 adults) stayed at the property recently to celebrate a birthday up north. Jeff quick to answer any questions I had and check in/out was easy. The property did not disappoint. The dome out near the water and the hot tub made for a very fun experience. The house was clean and comfortable. Very nice stay.

Christmas

We spent Christmas Eve and Christmas night here. It was absolutely amazing. We truly felt like we were in the north pole. We have lots of snow. We sat out in the dome at night. It was quite cozy to have our cocktails out there. We stayed very warm with the space heater. I also ventured for a nice little walk with my two German shepherds. They loved it. The hot tub was was also a bonus. This little place truly made our Christmas perfect. I definitely would recommend this place. Anytime of the year was very private as well.
