Beautiful, comfortable cottage literally right on the ocean. Clear water where you can watch fish and other ocean life. Lovely beach right beside the house. Egon and Patty are warm, welcoming and very responsive. They have thought of all needs. Very much recommend.

Amazing views, adorable cabin

We loved our stay here! Star gazing, sitting on the deck with wine and even seeing bioluminescent algae in the water at night was amazing plus so quiet and peaceful. Owners are very kind and helpful too.

Wonderful stay!

We stayed for a week in July 2023. Beautiful location on St. Margarets Bay, with a lot of bay or open ocean beaches around. Cottage is clean and well equipped and the owners have their house nearby so if you need anything it is very easy. We especially loved the private beach, perfect for a a swim or a fire at night! Very nice spot, I would highly recommend!

Perfect location!

Our family had an amazing stay in Ingramport. We enjoyed all the outdoor activities and amenities and the views from the house are spectacular. They were wonderful hosts and always very responsive. Easy drive to see the local sites - Halifax, Lunenberg, etc. Would definitely recommend!

Bicycling, relaxing and sightseeing

Great location, convenient for day trips to Halifax and Peggy's cove and whale watching in Lulenbetg. Enjoyed swimming at the private beech and spotting early morning dolphins from deck. Close to St Margaret Bay rail trail, biked 30km trips right from property north to Bike and Bean for lunch as well as 30km trip to Tuna Blue in Hubbards bay for lunch. Nice neighbors. Great freindly hosts Egon and Patty.

Best kept secret

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! We arrived after midnight and Egon provided flashlights and helped us with our bags down the hill! The amenities were very nice; we felt right at home. There even was Nespresso which we enjoyed each morning. We were often away during low tide so we didn’t get a chance to enjoy the beach. My husband embraced fishing from the rock next to the cottage. We will definitely be back!

Quiet retreat

Awesome property on the St Margret bay. An easy drive to Halifax, Peggy’s Cove and Lunenburg. Owners were super accommodating and home was well stocked. The grass hill down from the parking was a bit of a hike to carry everything in and out. But once there it was lovely rain and shine.

Perfect in every way

This is the most amazing property we’ve ever visited. It sits right on the water and offers gorgeous views. Whether it’s cloudy, sunny, rainy, every day offers a different spectacular scene. There’s so much to watch. We spent hours every morning just sitting on the deck over the water. The house itself is very clean and very, very well maintained. It has a top notch heating/ac/dehumidifier system so inside is always comfortable and clean. It has everything you could possibly need. There’s even a water cooler with an extra bottle which was so convenient for filling water bottles for hikes. Egon and Party have done a wonderful job decorating and making use of the space. It’s a studio house, but each section feels very separate- a very clever layout. There are three kayaks so no need to rent. The area is perfect for setting in a kayak easily. The property is conveniently located to so many different areas for exploring—not far from Halifax, Mahone Bay, Peggy’s Cove etc. We especially enjoyed the Gaff Trail on Hirtle’s Beach near Lunenburg. There is so much to do but honestly, we would have been perfectly content to stay all day at the house. Patty and Egon were the absolute best hosts. Responsive to questions, so welcoming and just very genuinely kind people. I can’t rate this experience highly enough. We will be back every year!

We had a great stay - little beach beside the cottage was wonderful and the cottage itself was very cozy and eclectic…. Patty was great to deal with and made sure we had everything we needed during our stay. Even saw some pilot whales!

Beautiful spot on St Margaret’s Bay

We absolutely loved our whole stay. The location is fabulous- idyllic setting with beautiful views yet very close to Halifax. Egon was extremely helpful and kind. The cottage has everything you need and then some. Enjoyed swimming and kayaking. Beat all our expectations. Can’t wait to come back!

Perfect holiday

Our time from the moment we arrived until our goodbyes to this beautiful area of Nova Scotia could not have been improved upon. Our wonderful host Egon, (Patty was away) , made sure our time and experiences were memorable. The house, private beach, kayaks and daily adventures to all the best the province could offer were ideal. What a great stay! They have added so many thoughtful touches like a punching bag and gloves, video games, movies, kayaks, fishing rods Etc etc. nice appliances, beautiful bathroom, super funky cottage! The private beach was AMAZING! Water is crystal clear, all the paper, kindling and dry firewood you could ask for! We loved having fires on the beach. The host is super responsive and helpful. It’s a beautiful, comfortable place to stay and is a great jumping off point for many sightseeing adventures. Cannot recommend this place enough. Kudos to the hosts for an exceptional experience!

What a beautiful property and super-cute home! We enjoyed everything about our stay at Egon and Patty’s home - excellent communications, clean, well-equipped home, and fantastic outdoor spaces to watch the birds on the water. A memorable experience - ocean living!

We rented Egon and Patty’s beautiful house for one week in October. It was a fantastic week of weather and amazing sunrises and the house is exactly as described. Located not too far from everything but just out of the way of the busy places. The house literally sits on the water and has its own private and pristine sand beach where you can just watch life go by - the loons, the tides, the ducks and the odd sailboat! We brought our two dogs and they were in heaven. The house is fully stocked and there is an outside patio to enjoy a glass of wine in the early evening with a fireplace. Equipment is first grade, especially the glass bottom kayak which is wonderful to tour the bay. Egon and Patty were fantastic hosts and attentive to all needs. We highly recommend this VRBO. A wonderful rental. Thank you again Egon and Patty. K & F.
