Overpriced
The hotel was ok , but I live in Hotels and I when I got to the room I knew how much I was paying I was expecting more. The room is small, almost half size of an average room. The following day I was in another city and payed 20 percent less for the same brand, that day I thought it was ok.

I just stayed overnight, but it was everything I expect out of as Microtel. Plenty of electrical outlets, very clean, and friendly staff.

The hotel was clean, quiet and comfortable. Everything worked as it should. We stayed 2 nights. I would recommend this hotel.

The room was smaller but clean. We were just staying over night on our way home so it was ok for one night. There is a breakfast in the morning but would still like to have a coffee maker in the room - this is just personal choice. Was a bit noisy at night as it is right near the train tracks.

The manager was working the front desk when I checked in. She was extremely nice! The property had been recently remodeled & modernized. All the remodeling looked & felt really nice! My only two complaints is the outside window screen slapped the window, waking my up several times throughout the night and the coffee machine wasn't working in the morning. Overall, I'd recommend this to other travelers & would book again myself!

Stayed in accessible room. Lots of room to move around. Very spartan furnishings, wall hooks for clothes. Refrigerator with small freezer a plus. Breakfast pretty standard, tho did have some protein (hard boiled eggs and microwaveable ham/egg processed option).

Hotel is being remodeled- they put me in a room where the construction was right above me, an hour after check in i went down and asked to change rooms because of the news and they did their best to accommodate. Not much available for parking spaces

We turned the heater on as the temperature plummeted. It set the smoke alarms off and the burning smell was horribly scary. We shut the unit off and called the front desk. They said it's ok it happens ever year. Shower head was so full of filth the water barely came out. The vending machines don't take cards and the hotel doesn't have change. The bed wasn't comfortable. The fridge wasn't cold. For the money we paid to stay there it should have been way better.

The couch in the room was old, stained, uncomfortable, and had holes in it from cigarettes. Even though we were in a non-smoking room.

I enjoyed visiting Independence, KS., and staying at this property. Theresa and all the front desk staff were kind and friendly. The rooms were clean (the cleaning staff were diligent) and the breakfast was nice too. No doubt I will be staying again.

Check in terible. Rude person at the desk. My wife has service dogs and he demanded we produce the Ids. Thst is elegale. Frige in room had dirty old stuff in it. The microwave had rust and black things on the top of it. Water presure very low. Tolit almost on the floor.

It’s ok. It was clean, quiet, and comfortable— it’s a little worn around the edges (paint, tile). The 2 people at the front desk (brother/sister or maybe married?) provided lackluster service. Limited breakfast choices and skimpy toiletries. I wouldn’t stay there again.

The property was not clean. Visible stains in fabric was gross. Also, I injured myself after hitting my leg on a protruding piece of metal from the bed foundation. It was hidden by the bed skirt.

Very clean upon entering the lobby, check in staff was very friendly and courteous, we came in earlier than check in time, she stated, "if we could come back about 1:30, she would have a room ready for us." Rooms were clean and comfortable.
