"A short two night stay. We have stayed here half a dozen times over many years. The buildings are beautiful 17th Century and the decor is sympathetic to the period. Food is a good standard they have an AA Rosette. Quiet location and enthusiastic staff. We strongly recommend it!"

"Very pleasant hotel. Room spotless and comfortable. Wifi terrible but that is a small point. The kitchen was closed while we were there but breakfast was supplied although dinner not an option which was a pity. Lovely location and excellent waiters - very helpful and friendly."

"The room was beautiful. We had been to a wedding so they allowed late arrival back. The only feedback is they the room was stifling hot to enter. There wasn’t air conditioning but there was a fan they I was happy with. The pillows were so comfy and it was a luxurious stay. Would return. Breakfast was also delicious. "

"It was our 19th wedding anniversary and a last minute booking. I couldn’t fault the hosts despite their upset with renovations not complete before our arrival. This was no fault of their own. The room was perfect. Very clean and the attention to detail was greatly received . The period features that was so fitting to a period property was very well presented. "

"Lovely dated property with beautiful attached coffee shop and cafe. Rooms were first class and a lot of thought gone into the design also very spacious with really comfortable bed. Room overlooks a very quaint courtyard "

"I can’t fault Oakhill, lovely friendly staff, beautiful building and delicious food. Can’t praise it enough! "

"Wonderful stay, was welcomed and shown to the room, beautiful area and access for great walks. They were very accommodating to the fact we had a super early start one day so we would miss breakfast, however they had prepared a lovely packed lunch for us whilst out for the day. Breakfast the next day was super tasty. Room was very clean and not slept like that for a very long time."

"The staff were very friendly & accommodating, always happy to answer any queries. The food was delicious in the restaurant. The only negative we had was the lack of bottled drinking water in the bedroom."

"Stayed for 4 nights on a business trip. Blenheim House is a lovely small hotel in a quiet village. All the staff were happy, polite and helpful. The food was excellent. will stay again if working in the area. "

"Amazing location. Quirky hotel but the cleanliness in our room was abysmal. Didn't stay for food as we went down into Matlock Bath which was in walking distance. The staff deserve full praise, they were really nice and attentive. "

"the room number 12 was located next to a busy road and garage the room was Hot with no air con , had a small fan but with the windows open found it difficult to sleep. the other window overlooked the back of the hotel with the refuse lorry arriving just after 6am. the overall score is reflected in the lack of sleep through noise. "
