"I needed an overnight stay en route to scotland . Cartref was easy to get to from M6 and felt clean and cosy. Traffic was a little noisy ( I had to open window due to heatwave) but the host thoughtfully supplied earplugs as well as various other "extras " for myself and the dog. Shared bathroom was clean and easily accessible. I would recommend Cartref if visiting Carlisle or just passing through and i would certainly consider staying here again if in the area."

"I had a wonderful stay at Gretna Green Hotel. The staff were friendly and welcoming, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the location was perfect for exploring the local area. "Very well liocated from station and for locsl bars and shops. Spacious beautiful entrance on arrival. Parking just outside back of hotel , however a charge of £8 for psrking there. Very small bathroom with not much roon for own toiletries. Clean comfortable bed. Good breakfast which was included in our price. Our friends were asked if they would like an upgrade for £14. Which they accepted. However, they couldnt see very much difference from original room . Overall, a liovely hotel, very good...

"I stayed for one night and appreciated having an affordable place close to the station, with plenty of shops nearby. I was also happy to find a kettle with coffee and tea, which made for a fresh and pleasant morning. The only downside was that there was no hand soap or shampoo provided, which would have made the stay more comfortable. Overall, I’m satisfied with what I received for the price and happy with my stay"
