Due to unforeseen circumstances we did not stay at the property we originally booked. Monica was an excellent host and was able to make arrangements for us to stay at another property even though it was on a busy weekend and almost everything was already taken. We were given the Serenity cabin which was a lovely place. What could have been a disaster and a major disappointment was avoided by Monica and her quick thinking staff. We were able to have a wonderful time celebrating our anniversary in beautiful Idyllwild

Charming vintage cabin with an over abundance of cabin decor- we counted 55 word/phrase signs /sayings on the walls, 28 bears, 16 squirrels, 8 moose/deer, 10 owls and 28 birds. There is a lot of personal stuff and not many places or surface area for their guests to use. BIG downside- only the primary bathroom shower works- the 2nd bathroom only has a tub with no shower. This was a big deal for us as the 2 full bathrooms was the main reason we rented this place. Communication was not great due to the fact this is through a 3rd party vacation rental company (would recommend going to them directly vs. Expedia/VRBO). Bottom line- it’s a very sweet vintage cabin that has a lot of charm but seems very personal to the owners. The yard is wonderful and there is a fully fenced portion off the back that the dogs can be supervised off-leash. It’s like visiting your grandma’s place- friendly, full of memories and a lot of stuff!!!

Family-friendly home that is close to everything

My family loved our stay at this cabin and wouldn't hesitate to stay again! The home is very well-stocked and comfortable. We also loved having a fenced backyard for our pup and toddler to roam around. Though the home is private, it is very close to everything, including the town center and nature center.

Fern Valley Drive Cabin

Amazing stay at this classic historic cabin. The cabin and the fun decorations exceeded our expectations. The property is large allowing our dog to roam free in the back. The kitchen was appointed with everything we needed to make great meals. Excellent time

Amazing!

This was our first trip to Idyllwild as a family and it definitely did not disappoint! The location was perfect! The house was well kept and we had everything we needed! If I had to leave any negative comment it would only be that I wish the T.V. was a little more modern. We wanted to have a movie night but we couldn’t log into any of our streaming services. Other than that everything else was absolutely PERFECT! We can’t wait to return!

Lovely little getaway

We had a lovely, but too short, stay in this sweet cabin. We appreciated the fenced in back yard for the dog, and that it was walking distance to town. Everything we needed was provided and it was a great experience for us!

Not dog friendly

We stayed at this property 2/24-2/27. The listing stated that this property was completely fenced for dogs. In fact, it is not. The front gate has an area adjacent to it that is completely open and goes out into the street. I had to harness my two dogs whenever they needed to go out. They could not just roam on their own. It was completely inconvenient for me to keep doing this throughout the trip. We ordered a bushel of firewood for $25 to be delivered. This wood did not burn. It is not seasoned. We tried kindling and fire starters. All it created was a bunch of smoke. We made the owner aware of these things and requested a $25 refund for unused wood that we had to leave at property. We never heard back. Unacceptable. We visit Idyllwild every year and will not be using Vrbo or staying g at this cabin.

A true gem!

Our first time to Idyllwild and it was eventful! We loved being able to have our dogs with us the owners of the property were very accommodating (Thank you!) We learned that Riverside County has specific noise monitoring device requirements, which the rental management also explained to us ASAP and put us at ease. These devices actually help keep Idyllwild quiet and peaceful, which is why we wanted to get away to begin with. We also accidentally locked ourselves out of the property and the management company came to the rescue within mere minutes! It was impressive. Granted I had to hike around to get cell service, this place really is a "get away" haha. The cabin was adorable, so well decorated with bears, woodland animals and the garden was beautiful. I took note of many of the plants to try to grow at home. My daughter loved the old bathtub and stopper. Beds were cozy, and loved all the low cabin-y lighting. We met the Mayor, walked the shops, stopped by the museum, and hiked. My daughter left her slippers and they called to see if we needed them back or if we wanted to donate them (donation it is!) We really needed this little vacay. We will be back!!! Thank you for everything!!!

The cabin was as described for location and amenities. It was comfortable and quiet. The one thing that we were not pleased with was the added on pet charge of $210 for our 6 day stay with our dog. We specifically looked for pet friendly properties and made our reservation thinking that this property had the price included in the rate that was charged when we made the reservation. Other properties we looked at had the pet fee outlined in the stated rates and we thought this one did as well. This was most disappointing to have it not fully disclosed in the daily rate quoted.

Turkey Time in Idyllwild

The property was exactly as advertised. Our family went up to Idyllwild, CA for Thanksgiving week and it was most relaxing. We brought our food up to the cabin and it worked out perfectly. The cabin was walking distance to the town and we loved feeding the bluejays.

Great cabin!

We really enjoyed our time at the cabin! It was very clean and had all the basics we needed. The WiFi worked great and I was able to work from the table in the backyard. Our pup enjoyed the large backyard and we liked sitting in the front yard too although she had to be on leash as the driveway was open to the street. Thank you for providing the nuts for the jays. It was fun to watch their antics along with all the hummingbirds. We hope to stay here again!

Amazing Property

This property had so much charm and character inside/out. Having stayed at many rental homes in the past and in Idyllwild, I will look no further. The house was warm and inviting. The kitchen was well stocked with all the utensils and cooking items needed. The very large fenced property was great for my dogs and had so many charming seating areas and decorations. Highly recommend this property. Looking forward to going back in the snow.
