Flies, Filth & Frustration
Host approved request to host a micro wedding apx 20 guests day of the 23rd. EXPECTATIONS I planed to sleep there for two days with just my husband to further enjoy my stay and soak in the view, maybe the hot tub or jetted bath. REALITY Filth. I don't mean a bad cleaning turn over... I mean absolute filth, Hundreds of dead flies...The lights in the bedroom, window ceils, molding, furniture. Ants over swam the kitchen as soon as as I attempted to cook a meal then the oven didn't work. The host never informed us. The basement smells of something rotting. The tiles are cracked all in the master bathroom. Also extremely unkempt with the bath tub having streaks of dirt everywhere. Also no bathroom outlets worked upstairs. We had to stay at a hotel because of the filth We couldn't sleep there and booked a hotel. The host is extremely problematic and aggressive. Refused to believe the filth his property had become. I'm home and I'm extremely busy. I notice I keep getting messages from VRBO but at this point I just wanted to block it out and was busy with work. I just received a message on 05/04/2023 so I finally went back into my account and I see all of Earl's messages. He finally admitted that it was a bad turnover (completely missing the point) and without asking gave me a refund of $70.00 He did the refund twice ($140 total.) His messages were pleas and threats all for a refund of $70. I believe the property is for sale because of how distressed its become.

The cleaning fee was refunded in its entirety and we have parted ways with the previous cleaners and did a thorough deep clean following Sara's stay just in case. Sara moved all of our furniture around for her party and did not move them back, causing difficulty and lending to our former cleaners becoming further frustrated with Sara's group when they came back to clean afterwards since it required twice the length of a normal turnover. Upon their early arrival, someone in her party harassed the cleaner and therefore she was completely uncomfortable during the turnover for Sara's stay, so she rushed to get everything done since they wanted to check in earlier than expected and it was a same-day turnover. We were not notified of any electrical issues with the property and it would have been a quick reset of the tripped breaker to resolve those issues. The tub did not have streaks of dirt, it is streaks of hard water because of our well water system. We get quarterly interior and exterior pest control, so ants should not be a problem unless food was left out. We have resolved the fly problem at this point by sealing cracks we found in the window, but we cannot prevent them from coming in when the doors and windows are open. Sara received ZERO threats from me or my associates, so this is in fact a complete fabrication. What is not a lie is her verbally harassing me over SMS off-platform during and after her stay. The property is NOT for sale. It is only listed on the MLS to cast a wider net for potential equity partners. I am keeping this property, I am raising capital to complete a buyout. This is not relevant to Sara's stay. Overall, this guest paid an extremely discounted rate, a fraction of what a wedding venue would have cost AND got her cleaning fee refunded, but expected wedding venue quality and service and arrived early immediately after the previous guest checked out, giving us no time to clean at all while simultaneously acting like a "bridezilla". Sara is better suited at a hotel.

Some home
Home was ok. Better cleaning company needed. Markings to get to home need to be better. Views were beautiful but I wouldn’t stay here again.

Views are amazing
Earl was great to work with. I do think the property needs a deep clean inside and out. But the views are just beautiful. So peaceful.

Amazing!
If you're looking for a mountain getaway with amazing space and incredible views, go to the dome away from home! Absolutely loved it. 10/10 would definitely stay again! Definitely bring a 4wd car though because that driveway doesn't play around

Excellent Host, Beautiful Property & Micro-Wedding Venue!
We loved staying here and had a beautiful micro-wedding with our immediate families. There was enough space for my mom and sister to stay in the dome with us while still enjoying the privacy of the giant jacuzzi tub in the master bedroom on our wedding night! The place feels far away from everything with a beautiful backdrop of forest and mountains and wildflowers all around, yet it’s also just minutes away from downtown and the Charlie Tayler Water Wheel, where went with our photographer and took some really special wedding shots. Also, Earl communicated before and during our stay to make sure everything went smoothly, and the whole place is well stocked with small essentials and tons of dishes, which we very much appreciated. Highly recommend this place and definitely would stay again!!

The best day ever!!!
We had our elopement wedding ceremony & reception in the dome yesterday! Everything was beautiful, the view was breathtaking, instagrammable & just stunning! We had a very nice stay here, the host Mr. Earl was very accommodating he even gave us a 2 bottle of red wine for freeee. This place had a special place in our hearts it’s a 10/10 for me, for my husband & for our family and friends.

Well stocked. Great location.
This house is not fancy but very comfortable and well stocked. Perfect location between Denver and ski areas. The owner has thought of everything you may need.

The Dome away from home
The “Dome Away From Home” was exactly what we needed! This space is so neat and the views are priceless! This home was very clean and very well equipped with everything we needed, from complimentary snacks, toiletries, condiments etc… all the way down to a basket of doggie treats and toys for our fur-babies! The game room stocked with games, along w the PS4 and piano, provided countless fun for all ages! We were so appreciative for the great TV selection as well. It was great for relaxing with our favorite shows and family movie time! The owner so graciously checked on us via email to make sure we were settling in and let us know that anything we needed, was only a message away. And sure enough, when the need did arise, we sent a quick message and we’re immediately accommodated with exactly what we asked for in a matter of seconds! The layout was just too fun, and the surrounding town doesn’t get any better! There are many great restaurants not far, not to mention the outdoor activities in the area such as gold mining and river rafting! We had such a wonderful family holiday vacation here and would absolutely return in the future.

Mountain Paradise
Amazing place to stay in the Colorado mountains. The cabin exceeded my expectations, and I'd absolutely book again. The cabin is spacious, clean, and offers fantastic views! The area also has some solid restaurants and exciting outdoor activities. I couldn't recommend this dome cabin more highly for anyone looking to enjoy a relaxing mountain getaway!
