Great cabin

Cabin in the mountains
We were there to bury my mom so didn't take advantage of all the amenities. The house was fantastic and in a great location. Our two Mastiffs had plenty of room and loved walks around the property. If we ever return to the area I would love to stay here again.

Perfect cabin in the woods!!
What an incredible little cabin to take a break from life and enjoy nature with the kids. We loved playing in the creek outback, roasting s’mores, waking up to the cool Colorado morning air and the cabin being fully stocked with everything you could think of! It was so nice to have s’mores sticks and firewood already there. The fridge was stocked with condiments and even some left over adult beverages from prior guests!

Wedding Story
This cabin was supposed to be where we would hold our dream outdoor wedding. I fell in love with the property and they were so kind and agreed to let me have a wedding there. Because of well…. Life…. We ended up eloping and staying here for our honeymoon. It was so wonderful. It was exactly as described and pictured, they worked with us on everything, and the cabin really felt like home. Turns out, they still helped me have my dream and I can’t say enough how thankful I am.

Perfect cabin for relaxation
We stayed here for 5 nights. It was the most wonderful location, as it is very peaceful and remote. We got a lot of snow during our visit and there would of been no way to access the property without a 4 wheel drive vehicle. The house was very clean and came appointed with everything you need. I was able to cook every evening and didn't need anything that the kitchen didn't provide. My teens enjoyed playing in the snow in the backyard and cozying up next to the fireplace at night. Idaho Springs is a short 15 to 20 min drive away and has lots of cute shopping, restaurants, and bars to enjoy. This was definitely one of the best vacations we have ever taken.

Weekend getaway
We spent a weekend here to catch up with friends and it couldn't have been more perfect! The location is great, quiet and private, close to town and St Mary's glacier for snowshoeing. The cabin is cozy and spacious, very organized, and it was easy to cook meals and play games. It was the cleanest place I have stayed in years, including major hotels. We definitely want to return sometime!

The cabin was comfortable, clean, attractive, and well-provisioned. The setting was beautiful. Tom, our host, responded quickly to my two questions. It was a pleasant getaway.

Not secluded, private or peaceful.
First impression when we pulled up was that we were in a construction zone. Multiple pallets of logs to build more log cabins plus a giant digger located outside the front window. It’s a circle of rentals with one cabin quite close. Like you could converse with the occupants when everyone is outside. It felt like the owners are more interested in building more cabins than caring for the established cabins. The inside of the cabin was lovely. Outside not so much because of the close proximity of other cabins and construction. The location of the cabin is about a 20 minute drive up twisting mountain roads and there’s not much in the closest town except a grocery store. We ended up leaving a day early.

Awesome Cabin in the Woods!
We had 2 choices in the area. This cabin or a condo down the street and ultimately chose this cabin. Oh my! What an awesome place. We are soooo glad we chose this place. The cabin was clean, neat, and had everything you could ask for. It is such a beautiful area and the creek out back was so relaxing. You can relax on the porch or down by the creek listening to the running stream. The location is not too far from town but it is just far enough to be away from everyone. The owner made sure there was everything you could need and if you forgot something at home it was there waiting for you. Toothbrush, toothpaste, dental floss, etc. you name it and they had it there for you. The living room TV is huge and great for movie watching. There is is wifi to connect to Netflix if you want to watch something other than Satellite TV. The kitchen is fully stocked with all pans, appliances, and spices. Overall this was a home away from home. I would rate this as the best vacation rental I have been to and I would highly recommend this place to anyone coming to this part of Colorado.

This property is very well equipped for any traveler! Snowball scoops, hammocks, swings, sleds, and more. Great log cabin, very relaxing environment in a well loved home. Plan to revisit soon!!

AWESOME CABIN
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cabin. When we arrived, the cabin was so cozy and even had a Christmas tree and decorations throughout the cabin. The cabin was fully stocked with everything we could ever want or need. The cabin was spotless and beautifully decorated with mountain decor. We enjoyed a beautiful fire in the fireplace when we played games in the evenings. The area around St. Mary's Glacier is absolutely gorgeous. Being December, it was extremely cold and breezy during our stay, so we hope to return to Tom's cabin in the summer to hike up more around the glacier area and hopefully to summit James Peak. We all had a wonderful relaxing time. We have stayed at many VRBO's in the past and have to say that Tom's cabin is TOPS. Thanks, Tom, for sharing your beautiful cabin with us.

Gorgeous Getaway
This cabin is by far one of the coziest most perfect cabins I’ve ever stayed in! It was very cleaned and well equipped with everything you could possibly need. The deck and fire pit area was very relaxing and was my favorite spot of the property. Thank you Tom for allowing us to have a great birthday weekend!! We will definitely be coming back :)!

Amazing, peaceful spot
This place is amazing! The rooms are spacious and updated. The cabin is well equipped and roads are paved except for the last few hundred feet. The creek out back is peaceful and with the large deck out back, it was very relaxing. We were not given or access code by VRBO, so this is the only reason it is not rated all 5s. The owner is very responsive though. He responded to all our questions within an hour and was able to gain us access. We will definitely come back again.

Beautiful Home in Great Location
We had so much fun staying here. The home is gorgeous and has everything you could possibly want. The house is far enough out that you can enjoy the wildlife but close to activities like St Mary's Glacier and the town of Idaho Springs. The home owners were easy to reach as well.

Well stocked!
Despite a check-in issue, this was one of the best places we've stayed. They had everything that you might need including spare sundries, cooking basics like spices and syrup, fishing badges and wood for the wood stove. It was a cute, spacious cabin. The location was excellent too.

Loved the cabin inside and out. The back deck and the fire pit area next to the creek were fantastic. Would highly recommend these accommodations to anyone looking for a great place to stay near St. Mary's Glacier and Idaho Springs. Would recommend a trip to Hidee Mine, looks a little tourist "trappy", but the people there and the information we received were great.

Perfect cozy mountain house
Our family really enjoyed this rental. The house itself was great; nice finishes, great layout, and very comfortable. It's proximity to Georgetown, Idaho Springs, and St. Mary's Glacier is what we were looking for on this little break from the city, and we very much enjoyed our time at the property. Would certainly rent again.

Winter Fun
The property was really well kept. Beautiful surroundings. Good parking for a couple of cars. Quick drive to Idaho Springs for lunch or dinner. Would come back in the summer to do more exploring.

Peaceful Mountain Getaway
We loved our time here at the cabin! The walk to the glacier was manageable for our kids and they had a blast staying here! We saw momma and baby moose one morning from front porch. The place was very clean and plenty of room for a family of 4 and puppy to have a safe and peaceful winter getaway in the mountains! We will absolutely do it again! Thanks Tom!

The Best
This place was wonderful, we enjoyed the quietness and the sound of the babbling creek. It was just what was needed to get away from it all. The short walk to St. Mary's Glacier trail head was a bonus too. Wonderful hike to the lake and the glacier just beyond it. You save the $5 parking fee too. I love to cook and the kitchen is fantastic with propane gas stove and oven and the grill on the back deck was the easiest to ignite that I've ever used. Thanks for a great place to stay! We will be returning.

If you looking for a relaxing place to stay this cabin is amazing . We spent a lot of time exploring around the creek in the backyard. My boys love to fish, so great that Tom allows you to use his fishing badges.

Just what the doctor ordered.
The cabin was clean and comfortable. Escaping the Houston heat we enjoyed cool nights and delightful days. The stream that cuts through the back yard is the icing on the cake. Tom was great and easy to work with. We are planning to summer here again next year.

Great experience at Saint Alice Cabin!
Both my husband and I felt that the images and video do not do this pristine cabin justice. The cabin is quite a bit bigger than we anticipated and is in such a lovely, peaceful location. When we arrived, it was very clean and the owners have thought of everything to support our comfort. I was a bit concerned about allergies as they do accept pets but we had no problems at all. They have a large fire pit by the creek and we brought supplies for a cookout. Both our kids (ages 13 and 15) asked if we could come back this summer as it was such a positive experience. Thank you!

Winter Wonderland
We had this house rented for a weekend and unfortunately plans had to quickly change as the weather turned the first night we were supposed to be there. Although we only spent one night, our girls trip to a mountain getaway was perfect and much needed! We felt right at home and really enjoyed our time sledding, staying warm by the fire and playing games. The memories in this house will never be forgotten! We will be back... just during the summer this time!
