Beautiful cavin
Had an amazing stay here watching a snow storm. Beautiful spot, lovely home, very helpful hosts. Couldn’t recommend more strongly!

Absolutely perfect
The entire package is absolutely amazing. Starting with Patti, her communication is incredible. Patti was incredibly accommodating to help with all of our questions and request with our 7 month old baby. The cabin and the area are breathtaking! The cabin was spotless, comfortable and cozy. We could not have asked for the cabin to stocked or supplied with anything more. We cooked multiple meals in the kitchen. It was like we were right at home with all of the amenities. The beds were all very comfortable and cozy. Lots of soft blankets to cozy up with on the chilly nights. The cabin was even supplied with fishing poles and canoes to explore and fish the lake. Lots of other sporting equipment to help enjoy the outdoors with our 7 year old. We hiked up to the st. Marie’s glacier that was just a short walk from the cabin. The entire experience was absolutely perfect! Patti even ordered us up some snow so we could make a snowman on our last day. Truly amazing!!! We will definitely be back and we will recommend this place to all of our friends and family.

Amazing Lake Getaway
Alpine Lake House was perfect for our Red Rocks concert vacation. The views are amazing and the house had everything needed (and then some) for a relaxing long weekend with friends. This was my 4th stay in the St. Marys area and this house was by far the best. Patti is awesome. She went out of her way to make us feel at home and responded to our questions almost instantly. We will definitely be staying at the Alpine Lake Haus again!!!

The pictures and description don’t do it justice!
It’s hard to describe the beauty of this place. We stayed from 11/15/23 - 11/22/23 and were constantly overwhelmed with the beauty of the surrounding mountains every time we walked outside. The house’s large picture windows looked out on the mountain holding St Mary’s glacier and gave us all a sense of awe. The cabin itself was perfect. The hosts thought of everything for a family staying in the mountains for a week. We are veteran VRBO’ers with numerous stays at houses over the past 10 years and not one other host has come close the level of preparation from Patti at the Alpine Lake Haus. She provides every utensil you could dream of for cooking away from home. She also provided spices and flour in case we needed it. No one does that! We had coffee, creamer, a gift basket of snacks and goodies, and t-shirts waiting for us. The outdoor amenities were wonderful. We canoed, kayaked, and tried fishing to our hearts content. The cabin itself was spotless and the beds very comfortable. We spent evenings playing the provided cards and many board games as a family. I had a meeting I had to attend one day, and the high speed internet made Zoom work smoothly. We also could stream on the TVs if we wanted to. We we a 2 minute ride from the base of the glacier trail (tough trail but so worth it). Rafting and other activities were short drives away as well. Oh and we saw the moose 100 ft from us one day! Altitude did take getting used to, but this was easily a 20 out of 10 experience!

Beautiful home
We loved the home but to drive to home on top of mountain with very strong winds n icy roads was terrible. I would not recommend to families with young children. Owner was nice until we left.

Beautiful mountain cabin
We had such a wonderful time at this beautiful cabin. The place was sparkling clean and the views of the lake and mountains were incredible. We had six people, including four adults and two kids, and had plenty of space. The kids loved the little nook in the loft with kids’ toys and games. We all loved the beautiful views and we were lucky enough to see 4 moose coming down to the lake for a drink. The cabin is quiet and secluded but is also just a quick drive down the mountain to Idaho Springs and a short drive to nearby Georgetown, both of which have restaurants and shops. I would highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking to stay in the area. Patti was an excellent host and was very prompt in responding to questions. We would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful lake and mountain views
We were here to celebrate my husband's birthday with our son and DIL and enjoyed every minute. Even though we had 2 days of rain including a hail storm it was wonderful just being in such a beautiful location. Pattu is an exceptionally generous host, having left a cake, flowers, balloon and wine for our celebration. I would note that there is house construction ongoing but was not a problem for us. Would love to revisit in future.

Fantastic getaway
The pictures of the location do not do it justice. Simply stunning setting and easy access to short hikes with gorgeous views. Really allows you to take in the beauty of Colorado. The cabin was perfect for our family of 5 and was perfectly equipped with everything you could need. Patti’s instructions and communication were perfect and so friendly. Couldn’t recommend this place more!

Sisters Mountain Retreat
My 5 sisters and I were quite comfortable in this beautiful home. The setting is picturesque and the home has every possible amenity one could desire. The kitchen is stocked with cookware and dishes. The linens were exceptional. There is ample seating inside and out. We enjoyed canoeing on the lake, playing corn hole, and sitting on the deck laughing. The experience was made even better by host Patti’s outstanding communication and flexibility. We all agree this was the perfect location for a sisters trip!

Breathe taking views
Words can’t describe how amazing the views are from The Alpine Lake house. The cabin is outfitted with everything you would need to enjoy the inside and outside. Patti was so helpful with all kinds of information and went above normal to accommodate us. We will definitely be visiting The Apline Lake Haus again!

Amazing place in the mountains!
Thank you for having us at your amazing home during the Thanksgiving holiday. We really enjoyed our time in this mountain oasis and got the dream come true with a hint of snow for the boys who had never been in the snow. The boys are already ready to come back this summer to enjoy the lake and other amenities. Place lacks nothing, Patti was a super host and went above and beyond the typical.

The Perfect Haus!! The pictures just can’t do this property justice.
This is not a house it’s a home. There was not one thing I would change. The beds were super comfy, the house was spotless, the bathrooms had fluffy towels and great water pressure. The kitchen was well stocked and nice appliances. The cherry on top are the incredible views….just breathtaking. I can’t say enough about Patti and Hans….they helped find a ride to the concert, set us up with their friend Gino for ATV tour, and provided many suggestions for dining and adventure. WE WILL BE BACK!!

Beautiful, Amazing, Peaceful Mountain Get-a-way
This was by far the most impressive VRBO that I have stayed at! The property owners were amazingly helpful, the house was stocked full of anything we could possibly need, and the setting was beautiful! This is one place that was actually better than the photos show on the website! You couldn't ask for a better place to stay!

Perfection!
I’m not sure where to begin. My family and I wanted to have an end of summer weekend getaway. I saw Patti & Hans’ lake cabin and booked it immediately. When we arrived at the cabin we instantly felt comfortable and relaxed. They provided everything we could possibly need for our stay. The attention to detail was impressive. The kitchen was stocked with everything you would Need for a long stay from cooking appliances to spices. The bedrooms were cozy, with plenty of pillows and more than enough blankets. We fished on the lake, used their canoe, hiked the glacier, took an OHV trail and relaxed by the fire pit. There is so much to do in the area if you like to be outside. If you prefer to be inside the home has WiFi, tv and they have supplied plenty of games! Needless to say, we loved our stay here and highly recommend it.
