In ten years of cabining in SE Oklahoma, this was memorable for the wrong reasons. This property has potential but our stay was marred by a laundry list of WOW Experiences. Foremost and preventable, dangerous falling masonry veneers, which following our complaint and their review management exclaimed (they were) "happy the new loose brick veneers were located all below waist high so they were no real threat to injury." There was a previous fallen (10lb stone) about 14 feet above the fireplace mantel. YIKES! Communication at check in was also poor. 3 emails prefaced our trip warning that our trip might be canceled. The last email made it seem like our reservation would be canceled for lack of payment and threw my wife into a panic while she was traveling, resulting in a call to the office. A day prior to arrival we got a welcome email that mentioned a welcome book at the lodging, that welcome book did not exist at the cabin. On arrival day, we had to call the office to receive our access information for the cabin. On arrival we had to call again about the firewood which we had prepaid for, the firewood arrived 20 hours into our 60 hour stay. The management attributed all of these issues over 18 days to a "New System Glitch" and said it was okay because, "at the end of the day all our guest received necessary information prior to arrival." The icing on the cake which is by NO MEANS MENTIONED in this listing is that there are two 20-25 person PARTY PADS with patios that face this small home. Both houses were pumping the Top 40 bass hits from 12-12 every day of our stay (Thurs-Sun). The management acknowledges that if we had called every day they, "Could have called the property manager who manages that noisy cabin and maybe the property manager could have gotten their guests under control?" This acknowledges that the Party Pads are a regular problem for guests at this property and that management knows as much. We sent video/image evidence and communicated in writing after our stay. At the end of the day, we were told that our experience was par for the course. If you are seeking a peaceful honeymoon retreat or quiet get-away, this is NOT YOUR PLACE. If you are getting out to the woods for a party, like vacationing in hardhats and you're into bad business, this is gonna be a better fit for you. My partner and I found that this cabin was not well advertised for the experience and that management is just fine with the experience we detailed here.
