A unique experience. Wonderful views, sunrise, sunset. Lovely accommodation it felt comfortable and like home almost immediately. Be prepared for the 35+ steps, in stages, down to the boathouse.

The boathouse and Skeleton Lake exceeded all of our expectations. We've stayed on lake Muskoka and lake Rosseau several times before but this neither of them compare to this experience. The home was clean and well appointed, the location is pristine, and we never wanted to come out of that water! Thanks Lorrie and our hosts for a wonderful, personalized, week. It was just what we needed.

Beautiful place on a beautiful lake. Maybe the best Muskoka rental we’ve had. The only issues were the very steep and rough lane into the cottage and the many, many steps from parking down to the boathouse. Carrying heavy coolers and suitcases down and then back up was a hell of a workout!

My husband and I stayed for our honeymoon and it was perfect. The boathouse was very clean and had everything we needed. The location was perfect with it being right on the water and near enough to a few towns to go sightseeing. The property manager was very responsive and a pleasure to deal with. We will absolutely be back next year for our one year anniversary.

It was the perfect get away for our small family. Lots of swimming, fishing and relaxing. The lake is clear and beautiful. The views are breathtaking. We kept the windows open so we could enjoy the sound of the waves while in the boathouse, it was wonderful. The boathouse is beautiful with quality furniture and is very clean and well kept. My advise is to pack light, the stairs down to the boathouse and then up to the entrance are a workout. Lorrie was wonderful to work with, she was well organized and very helpful.

The boathouse was the perfect getaway for the week. The property was exceptionally clean, comfortable and everything was in its right place. Very quiet and beautiful sunrises and sunsets with sun all day. Lake is pristine and clean. Host was great to work with.

This beautiful boathouse is a gem….clean and spotless, beautifully built and decorated, spectacular views, and fully stocked with all needed amenities including a variety of water toys. The hosts were so helpful and responsive, even coming by boat to ensure we settled in alright. From the sunrises to the sunsets, this was a perfect place to relax, recharge, play in the water and watch an assortment of wildlife. We can hardly wait to come back!

Wow! What an incredible week it was at the Boathouse on Skeleton Lake. It was absolutely beautiful, and our stay was everything we had hoped for! Super comfortable, great communication with the rental manager, equipped with everything we needed! We will absolutely be going back.

This is really a special place ... spectacular views, clean, comfortable & unique! The boathouse is beautifully designed & easily accommodated our family of four adults! The hosts surpassed all expectations & offered a personal introduction & tour of Skeleton Lake! So many water toys to enjoy lake living at it's best! So perfect ... I don't know whether to recommend it to everyone I know, or keep it a secret!

A lovely property right on the water! Very relaxing and quiet. It was a fall adventure so even when it rained we had an enjoyable time because the interior of the boathouse was lovely. We made the most of the kayaks, canoe, and paddleboard.

great boathouse! great views......cottage road to boathouse a bit dicey and bringing your stuff from car to boathouse a challenge...especially for the older folk... too many stairs and steps

We had a fantastic time here! Our group was two adults and one child, and we felt there was more than enough space for everyone. The 360 degree views of the lake are just stunning, at sunrise and sunset and in between. The upper deck is quite big with tons of space to lounge in the muskoka chairs, lay in the sun, and grill on the bbq. The lake is perfect for swimming with clear water, and we also made use of the provided canoes and kayaks to paddle around the islands. The location was very convenient, just 20 mins from Huntsville even though it felt like we were in our own little world. Overall the perfect summer getaway spot, we will definitely be returning!
